My husband and I visited this establishment last night and we were blown away! The atmosphere and service can’t be matched on this side of the bridge. We had an amazing dessert and a free delicious peach samplers. We are foodies and the selection and variety of entrees is exceptional! Been coming here for dinners a few times a month for the past 4 years. It’s a guaranteed great time. The ambience, food and service is excellent every time. Cannot say enough good things about it. Best to make a reservation. Parking lot gets full, lots of extra parking at Fall River Place (1 min walk). Thanks to the team for ensuring such a great experience.

One of the worst service experiences we have ever had …. We were there for 1hour and 75 min before we received any food! We booked early, it was a big celebration with the family 8 adults 6 kids ages 9 months to 8 years They sat us in the holding room as you walk in the restaurant That was fine but then sat two unsuspecting souls at the one other table . All would have been fine if we were served but instead they chose to serve that couple and allow us to struggle to entertain everyone to keep them happy as they were starved and Im not just saying kids! It went from bad to worse No follow up on the drinks, gave us the bill before kids got their ice cream .I could go on… To add insult yo injury no one even apologized.
Honestly I felt so bad for the couple on a date night sitting the room with us I spoke to the server and mentioned she should comp them a drink .
You are a community restaurant We live in this community We were thrilled to get a chance to try your restaurant You can be sure we will not go again and I will spread the word what a terrible experience it was . Really too bad it would n’t have taken much for the manager to right this wrong. That says something right there. Management didn't care!!

This is the second time we've been ans the food was fantastic. Love all the gluten free options and knowledge of the staff on what they can do to accommodate. The parking is a bit of a challenge but it is so worth it to deal with that all the same.

I lucked out in discovering The Fourth Lock BnB. The Fletcher Room was clean and comfortable, with a spacious bathroom, and sliding doors opening onto a deck overlooking scenic Thomas Lake. The shared lounge was stocked with coffee, tea, juice and yogurt, and there were snacks in the room as well. Good wifi. Very reasonably priced and a 10 minute drive to the airport. Lots of services close by like grocery stores, restaurants, gas stations. Jay is a great host, and very responsive if anything is needed.

Last time I was there the fish was the worst and smallest ever eaten in Nova Scotia. I tried again and ordered bruschetta and their special French fries as appetizers to split followed by the chicken pizza. Everything I ordered was covered with Balsamic glacé. I can see using it but not on every plate I ordered. The food is nothing special. As for the services it is a 10/10. The waitress was amazing. Over all the meal plus 3 beers and a tip was $120. The parking is extremely limited with no parking on the road out front. That was my last time and the other couple with us stated they were not impressed with the temperature of the food.

Myself and friends recent dining experience was wonderful! The atmosphere is so inviting and warm. The cocktails and dishes are crafted with care and full of flavour. We enjoyed every sip and bite! It's refreshing to dine in a space that is clearly loved by their staff. Thank you for a fabulous evening!
Great, lovingly furnished rooms. Lounge area with coffee machine. We started our morning breakfast with coffee overlooking the lake. The owner is super nice, chatted to us the evening before and gave us valuable tips for our trip to Cape Breton the next day. We had a wonderful first night in Canada and would definitely recommend The Fourth Lock :)

Parking is a nightmare. Backing out onto a busy road is insane. No room for cars, no signage to let you know its full up top. Cars not able to go up as cars trying to come down. Very dissappointing

We had dinner at this nice restaurant located in the Fall River area. The employees were extremely friendly. Our waitress, Lara, took her time to answer questions about the menu. We had the steak with potatoes and crispy onions. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back!

Stayed here our last night in the NS/PEI area as was convenient to the airport. Check-in was simple and easy. We had a room with a view of the lake. The room was comfortable with everything we needed. We ate dinner at the restaurant and the food was delicious. We were a little worried about the noise from the restaurant as we were there on a Friday night but everything shut down by 10 pm and it wasn't an issue. We actually kept the sliding door open until we cut off the lights to listen to the music from the restaurant. It is by a road that is pretty busy but when we cut off the lights we shut the windows and turned on the AC and the noise didn't bother us. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was a quick 10 - 15 minute drive to the airport. We would definitely stay here again.
Nearby activities: We enjoyed visiting the different locks - there are 9 total from the 1800's. Some in better repair than others. We saw locks 4, 5 and 3.
Noteworthy details: Very convenient to the airport. About 10 - 15 minutes. Very convenient to downtown Halifax. About 30 minutes.
