What started out as an unfortunate circumstance, ended with a beautiful place to lay my head comfortably. The room was perfect: clean and spacious. The restaurant downstairs was a hidden gem! The food is cooked to perfection. Try the Beef Burgundy, amazing dish! The owner Jaro, is a top notch, stand up guy willing to go the extra mile for his business. Thank you for everything you did, Jaro!

Cozy spot and clearly popular with locals. Our daughter was at a volleyball tryout in the area, so we stopped in for supper while we waited. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a friendly, social vibe.
We ordered a cider and a beer, which arrived very quickly. For our meals, I had the Japanese curry and my wife chose the pulled pork sandwich. The curry was recommended by our waitress as her favourite and the most popular item on the menu.
The food was fine—good but fairly average overall. At $29, the Japanese curry felt a bit overpriced, although the portion size was generous. That said, I’d be open to going back to try other menu items.
Service really stood out: attentive, welcoming, and genuinely friendly throughout the meal.

The Fourth Lock is unreal. Great food, great service, and a way better vibe than anything downtown Halifax lately. No reason to drive into the city when you can get this quality right here. Easily one of the best spots around.

This is a lovely inn with stupendously comfortable and cozy accommodations. Very clean, quiet and well kept, close to the highway. Our room was spacious, appointed with every conceivable amenity featuring a fridge with cold water, which was very welcome.
Great vistas of the lake with an inviting common space featuring a coffee maker and couches. Shared balcony provides another vantage of the water where one can partake in a view of the sunset

Dined only, have not yet stayed at B&B. I wanted to shard the fining experience. We had various entrees- burger, fish & chips, blackened haddock and a beef cheeks dish. Overall, tasty for everyone, would suggest to chef to reduce the amount of fries on fish & chips and elevate the presentation a bit. We’re not at a pub, but at a very nice restaurant. But- fish was cooked perfectly! Thank you!
We have been here 3-4 times for dinner or snacks and it’s very consistent, great food and excellent service. (We have never stayed at the B&B). The nachos worth it alone! Very cozy atmosphere inside and a really nice patio with a view of the lake. Did I mention the nachos?

My husband and I visited this establishment last night and we were blown away! The atmosphere and service can’t be matched on this side of the bridge. We had an amazing dessert and a free delicious peach samplers. We are foodies and the selection and variety of entrees is exceptional! It has a Gibbys and Pressgang feel to it and it’s only minutes from our home! Very impressed and we look forward to many more nights! Thanks, Olu

Best to make a reservation. Parking lot gets full, lots of extra parking at Fall River Place (1 min walk). Thanks to the team for ensuring such a great experience.
