This is the tofu power bowl they have, honestly it was delicious! I was very surprised, it is a great healthy and flavourful option. There were small pieces of fried pickled cauliflower and it was a delight. Tons of tofu and the dressing was perfect. I'm not even vegetarian and this was a great protein packed meal.

Glad to see a new restaurant at the Halifax Airport. This Firkin pub is good for quick bite or drinks. We sat in the hallway seating for drinks but moved to the bar after as there is no views to tvs in this area.. even at the bar, there are only couple tvs. This Firkin should really add some more TVs so there is something to watch while having a drink and waiting for flight.

I'd like to start this off by saying that I think the firkin & flyer is fantastic. The servers are quick and friendly, and it's a nice spot to pass time while waiting for a flight. I give the food 3 stars ONLY because the one thing I could eat off the menu was removed. I fly in and out of Halifax often for business, and will intentionally book a red eye in or an early morning out just to go to the firkin & flyer for one thing- the breakfast tacos. These were the best creation I have ever had. Perfectly portioned and light, I was saddened to arrive this morning to it having been taken off of the menu. Overall a great spot and I will still visit, but I can't eat there anymore.

Had a long layover so I decided to eat here since I have been to other firkin pubs. Although the service was nice, the food was not. I got the two piece fish and chips, and the fish pieces were smaller than what you would get frozen from the grocery store. The coleslaw was tasty but came loose on the plate, while the fries came in a basket.
Food and service were great at your Halifax Airport location. However, I would rate the comfort of the booths to be MINUS 10. The chairs were far too low and the tables were far too high. By far, the most brutally uncomfortable dining experience ever!

Beware of the pub fave fish n chips. The fish batter was so dark I knew they were overcooked. Can’t believe they allowed them to leave the kitchen. Fries were bland.
The waitress, Tracy, was very kind though and offered a new plate.
