Edible Matters Food Company

I am from Ontario in town to take care of family matters for my Auntie. I stopped by Edible Matters a few days ago and got cheerful and excellent service from a young blonde man. He made me my first and memorable bluenose latte! It was soul soothing and so yummy! Today, I stopped by again, to get another one and was so impressed by the 3 service staff behind the counter! Kind, courteous, efficient, professional, and genuine. 5 stars ⭐️ I realized later I left my wallet.; it was kept safely behind the counter. I arrived rather distraught…from that and other things. Seeing that I was promptly offered a really big, supportive, you-got-this, we-got-you too, it’s going to be ok HUG 🤗!!! Not once…but twice…by the sweetest young woman. I should have asked her name. I hugged her back too hard and definitely too long! lol It was complete medicine and helped so much. Thank you. The other 2 young men behind the counter were also empathetic too. The reason I went to Edible Matters was because my Auntie loved it…and shared it w me. I think the first hug was from the barista and the second one from Auntie…in the way she could 😇 I am so grateful to your staff for the excellent service, healing tea, keeping my wallet safe and such genuine kindness.

Booked in for 29-25 people for a baby shower on Jan 18/2025. I visited the venue personally in early Dec 2024 to talk with someone. They assured me they could accommodate us- took my name and contact info. Talked about “dessert options” for event, was shown the area they would put our group in, talked about decorations we would be allowed to bring in. Was told to reach out 1-2 days before event to finalize plans! Great! Invitations go out!! I pop in today to finalize! Imagine my surprise when I am greeted with a “Closed for Renovations” sign!!! WHAT Not due to reopen until Feb!! Did they not know this in December? No phone call? I presume my booking was recorded in a planner/schedule of some sort! VERY DISAPPOINTED at the lack of professionalism!! Will be sure to pass on to everyone I know about this!!!

Came for breakfast & ordered the breakfast wrap. It was sooo good. I love this place for breakfast!

Had biscuit and salad. Portions a great. Nice servers. Went with work friends. Not our first time. I even drove 40 minutes to meet up. Also nice cozy atmosphere.

Friend and I went for a coffee and treat to get caught up since we hadn't seen each other since May. We quickly had our order and we were checked on several times while we chatted. The resto was not full and we never felt pressured to leave. Thanks for allowing us to get caught up!!

The steak sandwich was great, and my wife really enjoyed her salmon cakes. It was quiet as it was between rushes so the service was very fast. The music was a bit too loud and not to my taste, but that's a small issue. I'll be back for brunch!

Oh my God we paid over $20 for a cinnamon roll that was made last week stale hard as a rock. I cannot eat anymore. See picture. We also got a flaky that was not flaky. It was more like

First visit and definetly last! My daughter and I went for breakfast so to start we ordered lattes which were great but that the only thing that was good! We go out for breakfast regularly and have tried lots I always order eggs Benny, well this was disgusting had two bites and hollandaise was sour idk if sittingvto long sour or what but tasted like lemon juice no joke! My daughter had a wrap that she had two bites of as sausage was red not pink and eggs runny inside wrap! When server asked I told her the sauce was sour didn’t taste like hollandaise at all with that she giggled and walked away ok… returning with the bill she said I took 25percent off um NO I didn’t eat it at all I refuse to pay for something I cannot eat my daughter didn’t eat either but I will pay for that fine but not sour breakfast she then rolled her eyes and laughed! I am a server been serving over 20 years and I was apologizing to her for food I couldn’t eat and she seemed to think that was funny I guess with her eye roll! Don’t know servers name she had pink hair and could really use some experience in customer service! Needless to say thank you for the latte but not one bit of that food experience was ok in any way! Not looking for anything because we will never try it out again! By far the worse food and worse customer service I have ever experienced 👎
