I tried it. I ate it. And I won’t be back. We recently tried Bubba’s Pizza — one of Halifax’s more “infamous” late-night spots — and the entire experience was disappointing from start to finish. 1. Pricing / Overcharge Before the food even entered the picture, the first issue was the bill. Once we got home and did the math, we realized we’d been charged close to 24% tax instead of the standard Nova Scotia rate. When I questioned the total at the counter, the staff member reacted like my asking was an unwelcome interruption. With other customers waiting, it felt like subtle pressure to just pay and move along. It genuinely gave the impression that this might not be the first time someone’s questioned their bill. And then, when it came time to pay, she asked if I wanted a receipt. There was a receipt — but noticeably, there was no cost breakdown. No line items. No tax line. Just a total. That only added to the suspicion. 2. Quality of the Food Unfortunately, the food didn’t redeem anything. Ham: thin, extremely processed, sandwich-meat quality. Cheese: artificial tasting, no real mozzarella flavour, no richness. Sauce: cheap, sugary, lacking depth — like something made for kids who don’t like pizza. Crust: undercooked toward the center, mushy on the bottom, yet oddly burnt on top — like it was rushed through the oven. Overall, it tasted like a microwaved discount pizza rather than something prepared in a restaurant. 3. Overall Experience Between the questionable pricing, the unhelpful service, the lack of a proper receipt, and the low-quality ingredients, this was one of the most disappointing meals I’ve had in Halifax. Nothing about it felt fresh, honest, or properly made. Would I go back? No. Would I warn others? Absolutely. If you're okay with extremely processed ingredients and unclear billing, maybe it won’t bother you. But if you care about real pizza and straightforward service, this is not the place.

Randomly found this place after leaving Crystal Beach! What an Amazing experiance! Pizza slices where huge, Poutines were oven baked, and the Hamburger is what youd imagine a perfect hamburger should be! We absolutely loved everything!
I randomly found this place while I was in the industrial park and wanted a slice of pizza the place is huge and clean bathroom was big and very clean and has a huge patio. I waited for a fresh slice and it's outstanding. Crust is thin and light great undercarriage and sauce is amazing one of the best slices I've gotten. I will 100 percent go out of my way to order from here again

I have had a slice at pretty much everyplace in town, this is one of the best. The donaire slice was LOADED. Don't sleep on a Baba's slice.
