Our waitress was great and friendly. The seafood chowder and the clams were awesome. Can definitely taste the homemade fresh food here, definitely worth the stop

My experience was with rotten fish, passed off as haddock. Haddock isn't grey! The smell was so bad I gagged. The meal appeared to have been frozen and then microwaved as the fish was soggy and very wet. Came home sick to my stomach and will never return. Gross. First time, last time.

Returning to Halifax, from Carters Beach, stopping at The Blarney Stone was a spontaneous visit, and well worth it! The place was BUSY, which is always a good sign. It took about 10 minutes to get seated and once our order was placed, it did take longer than we expected to receive our meals. We noticed several customers that were seated after us receive their meals before us. Our server apologized profusely and when our food finally arrived, it was delicous! I only have a picture of my meal (shown) but my friend had a full plate of pan fried haddock with mashed potato and mixed vegetables as sides. She raved over the freshness and flavour of the fish. We went all out and had dessert. I had a slice of lemon meringue pie - yum! My friend had cold rice pudding with a dollop of whipped cream which she found scrumptous. We left there with fully bellies! The interaction of the female servers made this such an enjoyable experience and I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Absolutely amazing meal!! I had the medium fish and fries, and it was the best I've had in a long time. The fish was lightly battered and cooked perfectly. The tarter sauce and coleslaw were great as well. Looking forward to going back again!

Cute homey roadside restaurant. The locals were eating here, so you know it's good. We had a variety of foods, all cooked well with tasty fresh ingredients.

Walked in to a very rude greeting and place setting. The short haired waitress with the attitude should find other work. Perhaps driving a truck - alone. She should not be in service. Watched her demeanour while we waited. The back of the menu will tell you all you need to know with its snarky comments to anyone who minds waiting.
Yes others who came in after us got served well ahead as others have commented but the food was decent when it arrived. The ambience was dominated by this absolutely angry at the world waitress. The other waitress was trying to be human - the short haired older one was at best there to show everyone how much she hates being a server. It was uncomfortable to watch her strive to be as rude as she could without being directly horrible. Unbelievable attitude !

I would have left zero tip but the other waitress deserved better

Never will we return to this place. Avoid avoid. If they can’t see what a terrible waitress/ human she is - time to pack it in !

We have often ate in and also have used take out. Always pleasant and good service.
