What a great way to end the day after hiking Cape Split. It is their 89th year!!! Super friendly service, delicious salads, fresh mussels, those fluffy soft rolls, and of course the lobster, finishing with lemon cake and chocolate brownie. Glad we were able to enjoy the experience before they finish the season.

The lobster dinner was incredible. The mussels were huge AND delicious. The lobster had delicious flavour. The place was clean and, even though we came late in the season, the atmosphere was still great. The team there is also very down-to-earth and puts in all the energy to make the experience awesome. What a fantastic time! The dinner was phenomenal. Such a great salad bar - the salads were amazing. We were there on a Saturday for dinner and stayed for the show - great dancing and live music. We had a great time!

If I could give more stars I would. The staff is so friendly and helpful and the food is amazing. I have never had a better lobster dinner, anywhere (and we have had a few). If you are in Nova Scotia and in the Halifax area there is no better place to go for lobster. Also, if you can hit a music night, even better.

I long for the days of self serve all you can eat mussels to go with your lobster. Food is still good, but prices keep going up, a while the building has retained its folksy charm, it is starting to show its years.
Very much like a mess hall for a summer camp! Took everything in me not to sing “Johnny Appleseed” before I ate my meal! Salad was ok, but the show-stopper was the oysters and lobster. 1.5 lbs of goodness if you want the bigger one (I should have but didn’t!). The blueberry cheesecake was tremendous too! An institution that’s been around for over 70 years. Just GO!
You should go for the live music at least ones Lots of great bands play on Saturday nights. All are welcome from the age of 19-99. The new addition they added outside is beautiful. Always a fun night.
It was my wife's birthday and she loves 🦞 and so I did a Google search and find this place. The reviews were good and the trip wasn't too long so I surprised her. The place lived up to the online ratings. Wonderful people, great atmosphere and 5/5 food experience. Reese (hope I got the spelling right) welcomed us in and we had a wonderful evening together eating lobster, having tea and cider. They have a kids meal part of the menu and even though it's small it will keep the kids busy while you Chow down. Will I be back? most definitely. At least once a year for my wife's birthday. May be the start of a tradition? And finally there was a lady there who had her 98th birthday and the whole building sang her a song. Was good to be a part of that experience! Pro tip : this place fills up fast during lobster season. Reserve your spot ahead of time.
