You can get orange almond salad, veggie burger, African peanut soup or massaman curry. Not on the menu but you ask for a side of bread without butter. The staff were really friendly and knowledgeable about vegan options and what could/could not be made vegan. Updated from previous review on 2025-08-11

A little gem in Hubbards, bread was made fresh and might have been the best I'd ever had. Also tried the African Peanut soup and it was delicious .

A small restaurant with a very simple, unpretentious interior. I would only highlight the beautiful and cozy veranda with plants on top. Very friendly staff. My wife and I ordered Seafood chowder and a Trellis fishcakes. The prices are a little higher than we would like, but we never regretted coming here, as we really liked both dishes and bright communication with a touch of humor.

Very nice little place. Friendly staff. Family run. Nice outdoor seating by the water (and the road) in good weather. Soup of the day (quinoa and vegetable) was delicious and hearty. Sandwiches made with thick-cut, fresh bread. The fillings in my sandwich were a little on the skimpy side (avocado and cheese). Worth a visit.

Credit card payment was not available today and we had very little cash with us. Sorry Gibby, would have liked to leave you a much bigger tip. The food was excellent and the service impeccable.

Didn't get to eat...they were unable to serve the sandwiches we ordered as the had no BREAD. NO diabetic friend Ly drinks but coffee, tea and water. Waiter was great, even asked for us if the sandwiches could be made a burger buns due to the lack of bread. 'NO' the portly owner barked. Within 10 feet of us, a table of four willing to pay just south of $20 for a sandwich (turkey, not lobster and caviar). This tore it. A rude, idiot of an owner, chasing paying customers out for the sake of 2 burger buns. A really poor showing, and I speak from experience, having worked in many capacities for 17 years at McKelvie's restaurant in Halifax.

Been coming here for years! I love the African peanut soup and Apple brie chicken sandwich on the soft whole wheat bread! The lovely staff working brought my toddler annold fashion highchair that fit up to the table on the patio! Highly recommend!

Parking: It can be busy outside the restaurant with cars and parking can be stressful cause of the main busy road during summer!

Fantastic little spot with excellent service. But the standing ovation goes to the veggie burger with Bombay sauce. Absolutely the best we’ve ever had. Homemade patty and taste is out of this world. Will be back again before our trip is finished. This is exactly how a veggie burger should be made.
