Great ambiance

In 3 days in Hubbards we visited Tuna Blue 4 times. Absolutely stunning sunsets. A cozy place to have a cocktail and the food was to die for. Easily the best seafood chowder if ever had.

Christine (the owner) went out of our way to accommodate our group and made us feel truly right at home.

Arrr, I didn’t drop anchor here, but I did feast like a true buccaneer! Sailed in on Canada Day, and the place be busier than a crow’s nest in a storm, but they made room for us with a smile, like true hearties.

The grub was fresh and fit for a captain’s table. That seafood linguine? Pure treasure, it was! The crew aboard were kind, friendly, and warm, always watchin’ over us with attentive eyes and deliverin’ great service fit for a pirate king. The atmosphere felt as welcoming as a Caribbean breeze. No doubt, I’ll be chartin’ a course back here again! Yarrr!

Drove to Tuna Blue restaurant last evening from Halifax. Only a half an hour drive to a lovely location, right on the water. Had their Seared Tuna for dinner - it was outstanding. Very nice presentation and delicious - cooked perfectly. Great entertainment - the place was lively - I would definitely return.

This used to be the spot to go to by boat. We have brought friends and family here many times a summer.
But we will not be returning after today's experience.
We called in advance to confirm if they still allowed dogs at the lower level as we specifically mentioned, we were bringing our friends for lunch, and they said yes.
Once we arrived, the menu at the lower deck was nothing but appetizers, and they would not allow us to order the from the main menu above (as take-out) and bring it down to the lower deck. The manager got right in our faces and was very rude about it,saying it causes their staff too much work. Even though we said we would happily take the food ourselves. Im not sure why they cannot be accommodating, especially when a lot of people who boat have their dogs with them.

This place is hardly dog friendly unless you're not eating.
We will not be recommending this place to anyone and will never return.

A gem of a surprise!

I took my wife for a romantic/surprise getaway to Tuna Blue which is the gem of the south shore.
Situated right in Hubbards cove it is a fantastic dine and stay venue.
We went on “Foggy Fridays” which features a band called “Fog. They played upbeat older music for an appreciative crowd who danced the nite away. The energy was infectious.
The food was incredible with large portions for us seafood fans.
Our hosts Tim and Christine were a delight . We were treated like family which did not go unnoticed. 5 large stars!!

Food, service, and view were all fantastic. Tuna Blue is very cozy with a relaxed atmosphere. They offer inside and outside dining. The restaurant offers its customers a great view, while enjoying their service and cuisine. It is positioned overlooking a cove almost “decorated” with moored boats of various types, sizes, and colors and lined with attractive homes on wooded lots.

For lunch we enjoyed seafood bisque, lobster and scallop baked potato, seafood crepes, and lobster roll. All delicious and beautifully presented. The seafood in each dish was fresh and perfectly prepared.

Wish we could engineer more time into our Nova Scotia adventure to visit Blue Tuna again. So happy we found them. Thanks!

Had a nice meal here overlooking the water. Service by Lori was great. Mussels were fresh and well seasoned. Main courses were slightly underwhelming.

Amazing food, view and service. We got seafood pasta and seafood crepes and both were on point! We will definitely make a point of stopping in here again on our next time through.
