I visited Ryer Retail about ten years ago with some friends, and it was such a memorable experience. Back then, not only could you buy live lobsters to take away, but you could also sit and enjoy freshly boiled lobsters in seawater. We had two huge lobsters right there at the restaurant and then took two more to go. It was a fantastic time, and the experience left a lasting impression.

Stopped here in August for fresh lobster and oysters. The owners were super knowledgeable and friendly, the prices were pretty typical of general retail prices, but quality and service were awesome. Lobsters were from NB as we were out of season in NS, but they were clearly very fresh and they had a nice range of sizes available. The oysters were Black Points and were hands down the biggest, freshest oysters we've ever had. Absolutely recommend. Can you get this kind of stuff...

We bought a few pounds of scallops as well, they were also delicious. Don't know anywhere else I would buy lobster on the south shore.
