I recently visited The Whale's Back convenience store and wanted to share my experience. Overall, I found the store to have a good selection of products and a convenient location.

Firstly, They had a good variety of snacks, beverages, household items, and other convenience store essentials. I was able to find everything I needed during my visit, which was convenient and saved me from having to make multiple stops.

In terms of location, The Whale's Back is situated in a convenient spot. It was easily accessible and had ample parking available.

They have washrooms accessible to use.

Finally, we tried the ice cream which was delicious with multiple flavours available. See photos below. Overall, The Whale’s Back was a nice stop on the way!

So glad we came across this place as it doesn't come up when you Google for groceries. They have a great select of just that, and also gifts, hardware and alcohol. The staff are super friendly and helpful and the prices are very reasonable.

However, I did notice that the service at The Whale's Back was a little limited. The staff seemed to be focused on their tasks and didn't offer much assistance or engage in friendly conversation. While they were polite, I didn't feel the warm and welcoming atmosphere that I typically expect from a convenience store. It would have been nice to receive a friendly greeting or have someone available to answer any questions or provide recommendations.

Despite the limited service, I was still able to find what I needed and complete my purchase without any major issues. The checkout process was smooth and efficient, which was appreciated.

In conclusion, The Whale's Back convenience store has a good selection of products and a convenient location. However, the service was a little limited and not as welcoming as I had hoped. While I was able to find what I needed, the lack of engagement from the staff left me feeling slightly disappointed. Overall, it is still a decent option for quick convenience store needs, but there is room for improvement in terms of service and customer interaction.

Great little spot to find groceries, liquor store, souvenirs, food to go, pizza, etc.

Good place for a quick stop for snacks and drinks. You can even get some souvenirs here too. We just stopped in for some pop and Nova Scotian potato chips.

One stop shop. Had everything I was looking for.

Restrooms

A good store, there is a choice of various goods, from mugs to T-shirts. There is an opportunity to buy ice cream and it’s good that there is NSLC. The service is fast and pleasant.

Has a little bit of everything, great spot to get ice cream cones as well

Ice cream had crystals in it. Means it thawed and refroze. Not good considering it was a $5 I've cream cone.

We stopped for a few things, it is a festive atmosphere inside. The manager is all smiles for everyone who steps through the door.
