Inverness is a small town but this restaurant offers you big city dining. Definitely a hidden gem!

Great place with amazing atmosphere. We ordered the chowder and Clam Buns as side, and the Pork Belly and Scallops and maritime bouillabaisse. Mixed with some local beers.
The chowder was everything you'd expect from a sea food restaurant. 5 stars
The Clam Buns were very tasty. The bread absorbed the liquid making it super tasty.
The pork and scallops were great, looks small but incredibly filling. Cooked to perfection. Very fatty but not rubbery at all.
The maritime bouillabaisse was underwhelming, though it was my first time trying it, I did not know what to expect. The dish arrived heavy on the
mussels, with a low amount of everything else. The dish also seemed not hot enough.

All in all a great experience. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Inverness. The outdoor patio also looks amazing, but it was too cold to sit outside in October

If you are looking for an eclectic flavour experience, this place should be on your bucket list! The pork belly and scallops was savoury and the portions were generous.

Ate at the bar during sunset and loved the view. We had the chowder, smash burger and zucchini fritti (huge portion!). All delicious and the service was great. Highly recommend this place.

A spectacular experience! Chef Brian was so personable and took the time to understand and accommodate my dietary restrictions. He created the most amazing masterpiece dish. Atmosphere was warm and the servers were so knowledgeable and really nice. All that to say, the sunset view from the restaurant was memorable, colourful and picturesque. A must meal during your stay on Cape Breton.

Chef Brian is brilliant. Creative and refreshing, personally sourced, farm to table. The Annex is a must visit restaurant. Explore your palete and try what the chef recommends. I am looking forward to my next visit and hopeful that one day the chef will write a book detailing his experience and innovation.
Do not miss out.
And sincerely, order everything...it's worth it.

What a beautiful surprise. We got in town at 8pm, were looking around for a fun spot to have dinner and were amazed by Melissa and Brian cuisine. Service was on point. Thanks again folks!

Chowder was good. However, the main entree, which was a scallop tortellini dish, was skimpy for the price, and there were a mere 5 of them on the plate. The shrimps that came in the cream sauce were super tiny, reminding me of what I can get out of a can back home.
Sunset was awesome!

This place didn’t disappoint me, not even one bit. Loved the location, vibes, food and drinks. No jokes, one of the best meals I have ever had in life! Also my kids loved their grilled cheese!

We had oyster and tuna crudo to start and the halibut and steak for mains. Everything was great but the specialty mignonette on the oysters wasn’t our favourite. I’d probably stick to the classics next time but everything else was phenomenal. Great vibe, fantastic service (thanks Missy!) and will definitely be back

Although the food was at least more creative and different than many restaurants in the area it was not quite worth the price especially with the atmosphere and service. It was great casual place but really loud and uncomfortable. Everyone was nice but timing of drinks and food service was off (almost 25 minutes from time we were seated to getting a drink then had to flag down a server to get a glass of wine with food). Table not even cleared off when ready to pay check. Just not the kind of service or atmosphere you expect for the prices.

The only thing that’s good was the dessert too bad we didn’t take a picture, everything else was mediocre and overpriced. If you have other options around inverness beach, do not come here!!!
