Typical Pub fare. Nice view from the pub.

Stumbled upon this gem when on vacation in 2024; was good enough drove off course to stop by for dinner when heading home to the states from NL.

Great atmosphere, good beer list, tasty food, and friendly staff and patrons. Wish we lived closer - would likely become my regular.

Cute Celtic pub looking over the water with a great view. However, this evening when my 3 friends and I walked in it we were excited to see only one table (a larger family group) but once seated it was so incredibly loud that you couldn’t hear yourself think, children were left to run around and scream, our food took 45 mins to come out (benefit of the larger table that was ahead of us), two steaks both rare were like eating leather, I sent my food back as my pan friend haddock was soaking wet and lacked any flavour, I was also handed my hot dish (food wasn’t hot but plate was) from across the table and the young served ended up reaching in front of other people and their food.
Service was also slow for the lack of people in the restaurant at the time and there was no check in or refills of drinks offered while we waited.
This was my first time here and personally I won’t be back or recommend.
I do hope the hotel stay is better there.

Stopped here twice in August 2024 to and from an ATV trip in Newfoundland. Great busy pub with no complaints!
Great food and a great view!! We all want to come back!

Best staff ever! They become your Iona friends. Attended Dave Miles Saturday night. Folks, get out to see this guy... this venue made for an amazing night.
Also, the Saturday ceilidhs are fun and a great opportunity to have a dance with my Mom.
Billy's weekend breakfast buffet is made with love...also helps to cure what ails ya.

I like the music, the vibes and the place in general, are chicken wings and cheesecake and it was very good, really nothing else to say. (There are funny license plates around the place).

Cute pub with awesome live music, nice patio views, motel next door, and a liquor store all in one area. We had a burger and fries. It was tasty, a good size, and a good portion of fries, too.
I would return in a heartbeat.

Best Thanksgiving dinner I've had in a restaurant... easily. We ate here 2 nights on our long weekend away. Prices very reasonable. Adequate portions of great quality. Ribs were cooked perfectly but could have used just a little more sauce. Drink prices very reasonable... with lots of selection for a rural pub in a somewhat remote location. The view from the pub is amazing, and live trad music was a real treat.

A great place in Cape Breton to enjoy a drink and some food. The pub quiz is also a good experience. The nachos in particular were very tasty and a nice selection of beer with reasonable prices.

We visited Cape Breton for 5 days and stayed at the Inn by the restaurant. We dined there 3 times including one time we were there for the Ceilidh night. Awesome atmosphere, awesome staff, great food! The fish fry was huge with generous french fries. During our stay, we tried a couple different seafood chowder at different places , but their seafood chowder’s broth by far was the most flavorful with clam essence.

Highly recommend this place to check out when you’re in the area .

Outstanding food and service, little bit of a wait for items. But staff does an excellent job keeping up. Bar is little limited on drinks (which is fine by me) and entertainment is wonderful, alot of talent. Only drawback...and the only reason I didn't give 5 stars....the chairs feel like midevil torture devices. Very uncomfortable
