By far my favourite Nova Scotia cider. Love the farmhouse style of some of the ciders, certainly not overwhelming, but more layered and complex than many other quality NS ciders. Worth trying it wherever available, I just order some online and the customer service is also top notch.
Tried Boars Back Cider for the first time at Chainyard in Halifax and fell in love A friend, my husband and I dropped by their shop off Harmony Road.I came away with Windemere, Cask 17-14 and Appleachian, I love a nice dry cider and this definitely makes the grade. Learning about the traditional pressing, fermentation process and passion put into each batch made me love it even more. Well worth stopping in if you’re in the area or traveling to if you happen to be a cider fan more generally. It’s so refreshing to find a cider producer in the region who is interested in producing a variety of product without relying on gimmicks.A hidden gem for sure - I’ll be back sooner than later.
