Went for first time, breakfast was solid and a Great value! Tea was nice and hot, coffee was good. Real grilled potato hash brown( not deep fried). Plentiful amount of bacon served with the waffle. Everything was hot and fresh. We will be back.

I remember when getting a solid meal in rural NS was tough. Thanks to places like this for delivering a great experience

highly recommend coming to eat at this restaurant for their great prices and delicious food. however on two seperate occasions we've had servers be short tempered with us. Most recently was this weekend when we came around lunch time. The restaurant wasn't busy but the server clearly had a lot going on. When they were at our table taking our order we asked about a coloring book for our 2 yr old who was getting fussy. We were snapped at with the suggestion that it wouldn't be a priority. We went to the counter to get the coloring book ourselves after quite a bit of a wait and were made to feel like we were just a nuisance. When our food was brought out I asked for some peanut butter to go with our breakfasts and I got a snark reply and they waved me off while they walked away. we were brought one peanut butter for the table to share. I get servers are doing more than waiting tables and they clearly had a lot going on. We're happy to be patient when our server is having a busy day. we purposely asked for things only when they were at the table, trying to minimize work load. Their attitude towards us made it uncomfortable enough that I don't know if I'd go back. which is disappointing because we enjoyed this spot.

Don't think they care too much about their customers nor the food they make. Its inconsistent. And if it's not cooked correctly, it'd apparently your fault for some reason. A disappointment

Nice diner
The burger is excellent, and good onion rings.
My only issue is loud behind the counter noises, like the ice machine scooping is very loud in the dining area.

I kept trying to like the place because we always enjoyed going there when under different management. ...first trip the omelette looked like an explosion hit the plate...next trip hard crunchy batter on dry fish....next trip went with blt sandwich but the cold soggy fries were gross and not included with sandwhich..extra charge..last trip I watched a cook/ kitchen worker prance through the dining area with apron on to use the bathroom...you don't need to be there with her to know she never removed her apron...never should an apron accompany you to a bathroom...totally gross...last effort...last trip...not a place I enjoy at all.

Everything was good , except my omelet. Everything was falling out of it . It was like the omelet was cook n then toppings were just thrown on it n then flipped over to cover the toppings. Other then that Everything was fine .

What a fantastic place but be prepared to come hungry because they give you a ton of food. We're visiting from Prince George, BC and what a treat to find this gem along our travels. The food and service were top notch.

Third time is not a charm!!
The poutine was a very small portion for the price! It was ok, although the fries were one big clump!
The other order was ok, but again, they didn’t add the coleslaw.
If you want better and bigger portions of poutine…it’s worth the drive to King Size Pizza in Middleton!!
