Fantastic food, great service, good people.

My first time here.
Our waitress Karen was very charming and a delight to chat with.
The atmosphere was very comfortable and cozy.
We were a party of 2.
We decided to try the schnitzel. There were many choices. I ordered the Florentiner and my partner ordered the Hawaiian. The portions were huge and the taste amazing. One of the best schnitzels I’ve ever tasted. The presentation was wonderful as served in a hot skillet.
You will not be disappointed.
Will definitely go back in a heart beat.

We enjoyed a sensational meal of traditional German food at Paul’s over the weekend! Large portions of schnitzel, mushroom gravy, fluffy spatzle, secret dressing on the salad, warm apple strudel. Oh my! All of it was delicious. Our server Karen had a great sense of humour and super helpful. The Christmas sparkly was bright and cheerful…and to add to the good vibes, Hans was serving up a Nutella liquor which he topped with his homemade egg nog…yum!!

Not pleased with the owner being cranky and rude. The food really isn't that great because corners are clearly cut. Maybe if the owner didn't socialize making customers uncomfortable the food could be better.... Not true German food to be proud of.

We had a lovely birthday dinner for my Mom here while visiting the area. I would highly recommend this restaurant. It is not "fancy", the decor is casual, the food is the star. Very good value for the high quality, portion size and yummy-ness factor of the food! From the buttermilk dressing on the salad to the crispness of the schnitzel to the house made desserts - we were very happy with our meal.

Owner is a jerk. Very rude and told us to hurry up and leave after getting our food. Will never go back.

We arrived this morning for a breakfast with a group of 9 (5 adults and 4 children), we are visiting the area and like supporting smaller businesses during our travels. When we arrived (at 10am when they opened) we were met with a very unpleasant and overwhelmed waitress, Karen. She asked if we had a reservation, we didn’t, but there was only one other table of two on the patio, she stormed off saying she would have to “talk to the owner”,she didn’t give us the choice to sit on the patio. When we asked for a high chair she got huffy and stormed off, to which we told her we would get our own from the car. The children (ages 5-7) were trying to get settled (who was sitting next to who) when, who we assume was the owner came in and was very intimidating towards the children, pointing his finger right into one of the boys faces and saying “when you’re in my house, you listen to me”. It made us all feel uneasy and we should have left at that point.
We watched as two other tables of two got seated on the patio, and she went and took their breakfast order before even asking what we wanted to drink. Finally at 10:25 she came and took our order, she mentioned again that “we should have had a reservation” I told her we aren’t from around here so we didn’t know it was recommended, she was very rude and seemed very VERY annoyed by us. When she was taking the kids order, one boy was excited to show her his new animal book, she got down in his face and said “I can’t hear your sister” very rudely, and when it was his turn, he just tried to show her what he tried earlier but she snapped back saying “are you going to eat or just tell stories” again in a very rude tone. We didn’t get our coffee/water until 10:49, which was served by a lady who usually works in the kitchen but they pulled her out to help, she was very friendly and kind(didn’t catch her name). We asked her if our orders were started, to which she said they weren’t but should start to come out in about a half hour. We told them we were leaving, and mentioned to her how two tables had their order taken long before our order was taken. When we left, Karen still went on about reservations, to which we told her what would be the difference if a group of 4 and 5 came in at the same time, )we were physically sat at different tables)and asked if the people on the patio (about 5-6 tables at this time) had reservations, and they didn’t. Karen kept coming up with excuses as to why things were so slow, but never apologized. We paid for our coffees and took the kids to McDonald’s where they enjoyed their breakfast. Would NOT recommend this place, the food *might* be good, but with such terrible service it doesn’t matter.

Drove an hour got there at 6:45 and closed. Second time this has happened. Owner very rude and won’t try again.

Excellent food. Large portions. Will definitely eat here again.

Had the best eggs Benny I’ve ever had (and I have eggs Benny everywhere I go!). The service was spot on and friendly. Even though it was busy we never felt that and our meal was relaxed and enjoyable. The owner walks about every now and then to check on patrons and is super friendly. I need to visit more!
