Love this little chip stand! The server is always so sweet and takes care of me quickly on my lunch break. Phenomenal food for a great value. Love how fresh the fish tastes as well. Definitely try this place out!

Best fish and chips in all of HRM. Fresh haddock fillets and homemade fries. Each piece is the biggest piece of fish i have ever had, with a very lightly battered coating on it. It is very highly recommended to try.

After a few postings and comments on local Facebook restaurant review group about Peelers in Sackville my husband and I decided to check them out for dinner on Friday evening.
The fish was great if you don't prefer a crispy batter. It's a soft batter but the fresh was very fresh and not oily or greasy.
BUT...... the worst poutine I have ever eaten in my life. I love poutine and order whenever it's on a menu. I have orderd poutine from fast food joints, pubs, and table service restaurants. And it was the worst. The fries were basically mush. It was so disappointing and disgusting that I only ate a bit and then threw it in garbage. I have never thrown a meal out ever until now.

Went twice - the first time, the fish was SUPERB crispy, light, & absolutely delicious. I was expecting the fries to be incredible too (since their name is Peelers) but they were unfortunately really not good. Thought maybe this was just a bad batch.
I always try a restaurant at least twice before giving up on it, so I went back again. Second time my fish was soggy and the batter was wet and unpleasant. The fries were the exact same.
I really wanted this to be our new go-to spot.
The lady that works there is an absolute GEM - she is A+++ for customer service and so, so sweet!

This was our second visit to get fish and chips and was very disappointed with the chips. They were very dark coloured as they were extremely greasy. We had taken the order home, couldn't easily return. Fish was very good, but I don't know how someone could serve fries looking like that!
