Well everything there is incredible.. but if you’re a real original Nova Scotian and you want an original “ Bubba Sub “ from times past… here is the place on the south shore to get it. Donair sauce on point , donair meat perfect. The sub bun. The garlic made by the same circle of friends that em them for us in high school … this is where you go.
This is certified by Nova Scotians as the absolute real deal. You can eat inside like a tourist or take that bubba...
My wife and I went looking for lunch on the waterfront in Lunenburg just after a huge tour bus had parked and emptied, turning a five minute wait into a 30 minute wait. So we headed up one block to Montague St where we found a quiet gem of a pizza plus shop; J3 Pizza. They advertise as a pizza / Mediterranean grill and it didn’t disappoint. It’s small, so they don’t accommodate big groups but they have a nice menu selection, ranging from pizza to fish and chips. We tried...
We shared a deep fried donair panzarotti and it was delicious. It was huge and filled with toppings. The service was great and the view from the deck overlooking the water was great.
