We stayed at the Rum Runner in November 2021. We arranged our stay with Tim and was greeted by him upon arrival. He was so hospitable and was so knowledgeable about the town, his recommendations added great memories to our time in Lunenburg. The location of the Inn is wonderful, right on the main street with all the shops and restaurants. The hotel rooms were spacious with a very comfortable bed. We had a gorgeous view with a cute patio to enjoy our coffee in the morning. When we visit Lunenburg again we will definitely stay at the Run Rummer Inn! Thanks again to Tim for everything!

We had a beautiful view of Lunenburg Harbour in this great upper level King Size room with attached closed in sunroom. Tim was an excellent host and very accommodating. We’ll def be back when the season opens again to also enjoy his restaurant! Great breakfast at The Savvy Sailor too!

This hotel is perfectly situated for exploring Lunnenburg. It’s directly behind the fishing museum with beautiful views of the harbour. Easy walking distance to all restaurants and sights. Our room (#5 I think) had a private balcony where you can enjoy a coffee or glass of wine. There was a bit of a damp feeling in our room - maybe just due to it’s proximity to the ocean. The front desk person, Alison, was very welcoming and helpful with restaurant suggestions and driving tips!

Great place! Charming. Hotelier Tim is very friendly and welcoming. Room is spotless and luxurious. Gteat price! Under $200 Highly recommend! Honeymoon suite has a balcony view of the harbour. Free wi-fi ... stand up shower ... lots of free streaming tv services. Very happy!

Where to start? Well the young waitress sat us out on the deck where she bellowed loudly at each table. Then she served me an inedible halibut dinner. The fish was dry and the coleslaw had a harsh taste of vinegar. My husband shared me some of his dinner and she comes by with the debit machine. I'm actually putting a bite up to my mouth and she wants me to pay now. I say I'm not ready and she says why do you want to order more? I said no I'm just not ready! Later she says how was your fish and I said it was dry. She just said I will let them know. No apology. Pity! That pub use to be so good and had great staff.

We had a beautiful room with a balcony overlooking the bay. Wonderful view to enjoy with a nice bottle of wine before heading out to dinner. Everything was very clean, comfortable and in good order. With the Covid restrictions we felt very safe and comfortable with the arrangements for check-in. We'll be back. Only suggestion is to leave instructions for the TV remote.

We took a mini staycation in Nova Scotia and one of our stops was at the Rum Runner Inn in Lunenburg. We had a beautiful room with a wonderful view. Their safety precautions were well planned and executed which made us feel secure. We had a great night and thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Had an amazing stay. The room is beautiful and spotless. Highly recommend the king verandah room! Will definitely be back.
My wife and I stayed here for two nights. The owner and staff had great suggestions on places to eat and go. If you cannot find nearby street parking, they will help you and cover the costs. I suspect that all the rooms along the back have great harbor views but we had a second floor corner unit that had side windows with views also. It was great. They don’t include breakfast but their recommendation for breakfast (The Savvy Sailor) is really, really good and there’s a coffee maker in the room. As far as I know, there lounge is not operating anymore.

We had lunch at this restaurant while visiting Lunenburg last summer. Friendly service, nice harbour view and decent food. The seafood was sourced from the local fishermen so it's pretty fresh. One of the best fish and chips in town.
