We came an hour before closing. We were the only customers, and it took more than 15 minutes to get our 2 orders of pretty small tacos in what is basically a take-out place. This is the second time we have had dried out meat, although this time there was even less meat to complain about. And the coleslaw tasted like chemicals. This spot used to be pretty good, but this is the second time this has happened . We won't be back.

Wow. Just wow. My husband had the brisket sandwich and I had pulled pork tacos. Normally BBQ places are my least favorite other than for the sides- I’m not much of a meat eater. This. Place. Is. Amazing. My husband lived in Texas for years and he said this is literally the best brisket he’s ever had The atmosphere is just as good as the food and the service was fast and friendly. We’re in town visiting for a few days and will make it a point to go back- it’s that good.
We had the bbq platter with a side of Mac & cheese and added an extra elote. Fed the family of four (2 kids under 10) and we had extra left. The food was amazing. Super tender and juicy brisket, tasty pulled pork and ribs. We liked the jerk a bit less but overall it was great! The corn biscuit was tasty, moist and had great texture. Would definitely recommend. All that with a beer, a wine can and 2 drinks cost us 100$ with tips and taxes. Not cheap, but well worth it given the quality of the meal.

Me and my wife visited nova scotia from Belleville Ontario last week. we not fish eater so we saw this place we where happy, must say was great atmosphere! very friendly ladies! Must recommend the brisket taco and the jerk chicken tacos excellent.. we enjoyed it so much we ordered take out to take home for dinner that night.. we not bbq connoisseurs but we both trained chefs and flavors where on point 👌 only thing I have bad to say sadly they where out of burnt ends of brisket..
What a spot! Great food, location and service! Our favorites are the meaty mac and pulled pork tacos - but tried it all, and always delicious. Love it!

I was very disappointed in this BBQ restaurant, and calling it mediocre would be generous. I had heard it compared to top Texas BBQ, but it was nothing like the great BBQ I’ve had in Texas, the Southwest, or the South. The sauce tasted more like a Mexican salsa than any BBQ style I’ve ever tried and I do appreciate the variety of styles for sweet Memphis style or vinegar based sauces in the Carolinas. The ribs were gray, bland, and lacked any bark, seasoning, or smoke flavor. The brisket was even worse—mushy, flavorless pulled brisket served on a $29 combo plate, even though I specifically asked a few minutes before if the served sliced brisket. When I questioned it, I was told sliced brisket only comes if you order it separately and not on the combo plate with 2 meets. The menu on the wall showing (see picture)the combo never said pulled brisket but apparently a printed menu did. The potato salad had hard potatoes, the beans were just average, and overall the meal was so disappointing I couldn’t finish it. This was a big letdown given its local reputation, and I would not return.

We tried the brisket (delicious and smoky) the Mexican street corn (wow! This is a must-try!) the cornbread (excellent, moist, tasty and crunchy on the outside) and the burnt ends (tender, tasty and delicious)

I had a wonderful experience at smoke pit. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. The restaurant had a clean, cozy atmosphere with pleasant lighting that set the right mood. Prices were very reasonable for the quality and portions served — definitely great value for money. Highly recommend

Dry meat, bland food, small portions.. it’s like they’re running a taste-free charity. The only thing seasoned here is the bill.. If you enjoy paying top dollar for bland, dry food in bite-sized portions, congratulations!! you’ve found paradise.
