The Beach Pea Kitchen & Bar

We thoroughly enjoyed our special meal at Beach Pea, starting with a delicious cocktail. The service was excellent and the food was delicious!

Very professional establishment from start to finish. Tasty and creative cocktails. Fresh raw oysters and seafood. Perfectly cooked pasta dishes loaded with flavor and hunks of lobster. Dessert to die for ... pumpkin cheesecake with vanilla ice cream. Stuffed piggy's when we left

Small cozy restaurant with tables close together. Excellent seafood menu, dishes beautifully presented. We had Cape Breton oysters and a haddock fritter for starters and grilled/ seared scallops and halibut. It was probably one of the best meals I've had in a while and the best we've had on our maritimes visit. I'm a bit snobby about my wine was surprised at how much I enjoyed the NS Sauvignon blanc. The rustic cheesecake was also very good. It would be a treat to eat there again!

Really enjoyed this restaurant! The oysters were fresh and perfect and the cocktail sauce was amazing. We had the burrata, calamari, scallops tuna tartare and steak frites. All very well executed.

A wonderful dining experience in a cozy setting! Excellent attention to the use of local & sustainable products artistically & creatively presented in a relaxed time frame. The food and environment at this place is phenomenal, the cocktails were incredible. I had the steak frites and my wife had the carbonara. Chef Julien and the rest of the kitchen staff, along with the waitress we had is a combination that I believe everyone experience. Excellent job guys. 2 thumbs up

Visiting Lunenburg from the US and we chose Beach Pea for dinner. The carbonara was a great break from the 100% seafood diet I've had since arriving in Nova Scotia. My wife had the risotto with scallops and rabbit which was unique and delicious. Overall an excellent restaurant.

We had an outstanding experience! Our meal and the service were both excellent. We received a call the day of our reservation asking us if we'd like to sit on their terrace and we were glad we did. The evening temperature was perfect for dining outside! We highly recommend the Beach Pea to others.

We enjoyed our meal. At the end it felt a bit pricey for the food we got but for the most part the food was good. Some of the calamari in my pasta were too chewy, the cod fritter was borderline too salty, scallops could've used a harder sear on them but we still enjoyed the overall experience and we would likely still return.

Food experience at the Beach Pea has been consistent over the years we have dined there, possibly the highest standard in Lunenburg, since the Fleur De Sel closed its doors. Every dinner at the Beach Pea has created lasting food and service memories, whether with friends from Georgia or family. This is a particularly refreshing experience in times where other restaurants fail to live up to what they describe on the menu, at times it is downright shocking what ends up on the plate. So thank you Beach Pea for carrying the torch!

I invited a friend to join me for dinner. The whole experience at the Beach Pea was beyond my expectations. The service timing by staff was perfect, food danced on my tongue, portions just what I was comfortable with to order a light dessert. Al was a glass of a Chardonnay from Lightfoot Winery. I had one of the best restaurant experiences here last night in my 69 years and I worked in the restaurant industry for 40 of those years, 22 in fine dining. Food, service and ambience were at the highest level. Thank you for such a memorable time.

Probably the nicest restaurant in Lunenburg. The food was outstanding and the views were great! We sat on the patio out back, overlooking the street with a view of the ocean. Such a nice place and ambiance. We will be back.
