You want Nana’s homemade soup? You go eat here! Couple it with The fried zucchini bites and a good ole chicken salad sandwich on the cushy-ist bread you ever did eat and you’ll leave one happy gal! Try to resist the dessert case that you walk by upon leaving. We had a wonderful server Jarred who took great care of us and educated us on the history of Lunenburg.
We sat out on the deck and watched the world below. Truly an all around wonderful dining experience l!!
I made a reservation for a room 2 weeks in advance, got a confirmation, but when arrived the room has not been reserved nor ready. I got a discount on another room, well, ok. The dinner had its issues as well my wife ordered lobster tail and shrimp but received a whole lobster instead. I had the seafood platter which was really good except for the much overcooked Salmon. Good for dining but would not for stay overnight again
My husband and I plus my daughter and her husband and 2 young grandchildren stayed here Saturday night and had breakfast with Santa Saturday morning. They loved it. Plus all the Christmas festivities that we took part in. A big thank you to the amazing friendly staff here. We all loved it here and had a great time. The view from rooms 1 and 2 are stunning. Even the kids loved that view. We will all be back next year. Thank you Island View.
Stopped here for lunch. Patio overlooking the water is great. Service was good. Food was good.
When visiting Lunenburg, I decided to make the right choice and visit this lovely place for lunch. My clam chowder was delicious but the lobster roll was absolutely mouth-watering. The staff was also really useful and friendly, shame I can't remember the name of the lovely lady who served me. Anyway, great location, superb food, lovely staff and atmosphere
Man was rude at the front desk
Absolutely delicious
Surf and turf was overpriced and the lobster was very tiny , tell people if it’s not in season , better that then a bad review.
Our room was nice with a great view of the harbor. Basic facilities but nice. Breakfast was good.
nice place and nice food ❤️

This Inn was supposed to be the highlight of our trip. Unfortunately other than the view it was extremely disappointing. The room smelled musty, the towels were washed but need to be replaced as they were not clean. The bed was totally unacceptable. The headboard and frame need to be updated as you could not move without waking the person next to you. The bed was Extremely uncomfortable and not acceptable to sleep on. We did not get any sleep. Check in was just hand you the key and that was it no explanation on the restaurant or Inn. You also need to plan on parking as this is an extremely busing area and the Inn has no parking you are on your own. We had to park two blocks away and there is no option to pull up and drop bags.
Great location And lovely place
We stopped for lunch at the restaurant. The best lobster roll we ever had at $35 a piece. Fries were also great. Good beer selection. Overlooking the Lunenburg wharf, view and service were amazing. We wish our server a fast recovery from her damaged wrist. She was absolutely amazing.
Just stopped in for a bowl of chowder with home made bun ( as noted on the menu), $18. Let’s start with the bun, was an obvious store bought variety. The soup was hearty with a lot of seafood, ( will give it that) but the flavour was a bit bland and overall serving size small. After the server dropped the food off, the next time I saw her was about 5 minutes after I’d finished eating when she asked how it was and gave me the bill saying I needed to pay at the front. I went to the bathroom first, wasn’t that clean, and then went to the area where I was suppose to pay. No one was there so after about two minutes, I walked back around the corner asking if anyone was working there and a server came over to accept payment. It would have been really easy to just walk out the door and not pay ( not my style). The table sitting across from me ordered a meal that came with vegetables and it was really easy to see there were what you’d by in the freezer section of a grocery store. Overall I think there are better dining out options here.
Won’t move you to a patio seat even when there is no line up for it. Their excuse was, once youre seated it’s too much work to move you. Go elsewhere if they’re this lazy
