Excellent meal!

The Old Fish Factory was an unexpectedly good meal experience in Lunenburg and offers ambience that harkens back to the days of the Bluenose schooner which originated here in this World Heritage town in Nova Scotia.

We enjoyed a large lobster roll along with massive fish and chips. The flavors were as expected and decent even if it didn’t blow us away. The highlight is definitely the view overlooking Lunenburg harbour including the Bluenose II outside.

Most pleasant late lunch here, at an outdoor table dockside, overlooking the water. The oysters were chilled and tasty, and the seafood chowder delicious.

The highlight of this place was not just the taste but the freshness of the food itself. One of the best places to eat in Lunenburg without doubt. Everything from The Ambiance, The View, The Taste, and The Quantity were all top-notch, and you would come out of this satisfied for sure.

Delicious food, great atmosphere! Inside the fishery museum so it's very cool to see some of the exhibits on your way through! The smash burger was great and the fish tacos were even better. Great place to stop!

We ordered the fish and chips (haddock fillet) and the fish chowder. Both were incredibly delicious. The haddock fillet is large and deep fried. It falls appart easily, very large portions for the price. The chowder is packed with sea food, very tasteful. Great atmosphere and friendly service. Dog friendly if at the outdoor seats, the server brought my dog a water bowl without me asking :)

We enjoyed a wonderful atmosphere with a beautiful view of the waterfront. Our server was friendly and made us feel at home, but the staff who greeted us appeared a bit annoyed by our 3 PM lunch visit, maybe because it interrupted their break. Another reviewer also noted that the food was a bit on the salty side. The mussels were rather small, with a couple being empty. The fish tacos had quite a bit of heat from the jalapeños. In the end, I’d say the food didn’t really match the price, which is understandable given Lunenburg’s status as a tourist hotspot.
