Come and get it! A good blend of more familiar dishes from a Canadian perspective and a nice occasional addition of something unique. The Mud Slode Cafe is an extension of the general store and has been an excellent addition to help locals and tourists alike have a place to sit down to eat or get take out.

We loved this place. Ambience was fantastic, great history, great food, super friendly, attentive, and accommodating staff definitely worth stopping in for a visit for a taste of the local vibe.

A gem of a place off the beaten path. Out for a drive on a dreary winter day...stopped in for a bite. The Queen Club sandwich and onion rings were awesome! The service was great! We were also treated to a sample slice of fresh banana bread right from the oven! We will be back again....for sure!

Stopped on my way out and again on my way back from Burntcoat one evening last month (October). Excellent burger, made with care. Fresh, beautiful salad. Kind, friendly service.

Very poor first impression, nothing for a vegetarian to eat, shouldn’t be called a cafe as latte machine was broken and coffee was only served if I went over to the store side, just seafood and drinks. Staff couldn’t care less if I had walked in or not and just disappointing all around.

This arrogant guy who runs this place has no idea of how to cook for a veggie. The cheese toasty was disgusting. This culinary delight consisted of catering cheese between between 2 slices of bread fried in beef stock, that left my fingers smelling of fat for hours. I’m still having nightmares Avoid

Vegetarian options: There was a veggie burger but I’m pleased I didn’t order it

Great food! Our waiter Manny was loads of fun and the owner was so nice to chat with and he shared some crazy good pork belly he's was smoking. The pork belly should be on the menu!

Cute cafe with excellent food. The owner was exceptionally friendly and told us interesting facts about this 185 year old establishment.
