Seagrape Cafe at Jost Vineyards

Probably my most favorite dining destination. Period. And JOST has always been my wife's and my favorite winemaker. Drop by for some Tidal Bay white/red or Terra smooths but always, always find a table spot and try their food! Always an absolute treat!

Came here on a Saturday for lunch, and it was very busy.  Here is a beautiful vineyard with a lovely cafe and store.  Staff in all areas were friendly and helpful, from the wine tasting and purchases, to the dining.  Our server was very friendly, upbeat, and attentive.  I ordered the Seafood Chowder and had Creme Bruele for dessert.  The soup was tasty, but a small portion, and pricey. The Bruele was nice.  We had a pleasant dining experience and enjoyed our time here.  it's well worth a visit.

A friend and I dined at the Seagrape Cafe yesterday afternoon. The service was terrific. Kudos to the gentleman who greeted us, and our waitress. We love good quality food, and I must say that the beet, walnut salad was lovely… however, the blue cheese, pear and prosciutto pizza was heavily laden with cheese, and sadly, lacking pear and prosciutto… We did mention it to our waitress in hopes that this may be rectified.

Staff at the wine sales area very knowledge and helpful. Lots of useful information (wine nice too). Little restaurant here was open for lunch - nice view of the vineyard.

We went on a Sunday for lunch around 1 pm. No one else was there when we arrived, which is a shame. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Excellent coffee was promptly provided. Wines were sampled at the bar. Strong recommend for Jost Tidal Bay and the Great Big Friggin' Red Wine. There were four of us, and we ordered both the smoked salmon and charcuterie boards to start, and on the staff's advice, we ordered a pear and blue cheese pizza for one couple to split, and a brie and chicken sandwich and salad that the other couple split. Food was excellent. I can't wait to go back and experience the deck in the summer!

We ate lunch in the patio, the setting was unique and pleasant. We had lobster sliders and the charcuterie platter and thought both were delicious and good value. Service was friendly and professional.

We ate on the patio. Excellent service, delicious food, and very pet friendly. Inside we enjoyed the tasting bar. Staff were very knowledgeable. We will be back!

We just stopped in for a wine tasting and were very pleased with our hostess. She was very knowledgeable about the different wines and the overall operation of the winery. We had declined a sample of Great Big Friggin Red, as we had tasted it at a restaurant in Digby and found it light and not that tasteful. She was surprised, as she felt it was their boldest wine. Although we had already had our tasting amount, she wanted us to try the Great Big Friggin Red from the winery.....WELL, what the restaurant served us was obviously not GBFR or if it was it was an old bottle - it is an excellent wine. We also liked that they also sell boxes of wine (much easier to deal with in a motor home); and that they sell their mini-kegs to the public. THANK YOU YOST - WE WILL BE LOYAL CUSTOMERS!!

We had a wonderful lunch here with a top notch server. The wines were also excellent. We'll be back.

My wife and I had a wonderful lunch and our waitress was delightful. That would be my review except I made the mistake of forgetting my mask when I went to the bathroom. Instead of a friendly reminder, the bartender raised his voice at me and took an empty can of beer out of my hand telling me I had broken rules. He did not say please or thank you. He then stormed off. My wife was extremely upset, as was I. A friendly reminder would have been sufficient, I would not have minded to be asked. Given what I had just spent I was really disappointed with the treatment.

We have been visiting Jost periodically over 15-20 years. This our first time eating there. A most excellent surprise! The food was very good, the preparation and presentation perfect and the service great. What we especially appreciated was that portions were adequate but not excessive.
