Dear tourists and anyone else, Please do yourself a favour and skip this place, go literally anywhere else. Clueless how they even have 4 stars. VERY disappointing experience. No accountability. Not very good food nor service. Will never ever return nor recommend, ever. $28 for a so called 8oz steak meal where HALF the steak was unchewable fat, the rice was just awful.. they say they make it with beef broth, water, butter, onion soup mix.. but it was DRY, definitely not fresh, and pretty sure they forgot the onion mix.. it just was not good, at all.. the steak was supposed to be medium rare.. some of it was... the haddock though was actually very delicious I'll give em that. Would have been nice if we could all eat together.. but they brought 2 of 3 meals out and then told me that there was an issue with the printer and it didn't print out my meal (yeah sure okay..BS) I didn't think it would be as late or as awful as it was or I would have cancelled the order.. the others had thier meals half done by time mine showed up, I was very hesitant to eat it based on the look of everything and the steak .. but I was soo hungry and anxious and the server was lingering it was awkward so I decided to give it a try.. it was soo poor.. I ate what a could which wasnt much. When server eventually finally came back I told her about it, she came back said there was nothing they could do "because I ate the meal ".. except I literally didnt/couldn't. We gave them a chance to redeem themselves for THIER MISTAKES you know maybe comp the $28 steak meal that was terribly late and of poor quality .. even just half off.. but nope. I could literally go on about more I'll stop here

Got take out tonight with my mom as a treat and was delicious! Great to support a neighbour and have a good meal (and some lunch for tomorrow too) after a hard day!

It's a very nice place, really delicious and fresh food. His very friendly employees.

We were a very large group of 20ish that arrived just before closing (we didn’t realize right away) the lady serving was amazing. She is fast, smart and efficient.
Whoever was cooking you did amazing as well. Everyone enjoyed their meals and we were all served at the same time piping hot food! Bravo!
Thank you for accepting us with a smile at such a late unannounced arrival. Hope it worked out ok for you too ?
* edit: I would have to say after reading reviews they seem to have taken the feedback from prev reviewer and made positive changes. They made a point to tell us not to rush when turned off the open sign. That’s a smart business.

Arrived in the parking lot at 6:20.. at 6:25 when we were sitting at our table, that was not cleaned, we had menus slapped down in front of us and told 'we close at 7, but it is ok, you should have time'.. rushed through our ordering, I had to add our app as she was trying to walk away.. food was fast to come out.. but the WHOLE time sitting all that was heard to any new customers was how they close at 7.. app came and placed on the dirty table, and less then 2 mins our mains did too.. chicken Alfredo seemed like the sauce was out of a bottle and chicken was package precooked.
I NEVER felt so unwelcome anywhere before!!!

Placed order and waited over 40 minutes only to be told they forgot my order. There were only 3 other tables there at the time and all arrived after me and got their food first.

Went for a late lunch got take out all our meals were excellent poutine was big with lots of gravy and cheese club sandwich was very good burger was a homemade patty that tasted great the bacon wrapped scallops are so yummy but for $18 I thought I would get more than 5
Service was fast and friendly would definitely return again

Waited an hour for bag fries and frozen fish. Friendly staff, good selection of canned craft beer, great view on the patio. But this is Cape Breton - the expectation is good fish, and best to look elsewhere for that. Skip this one and go to Cheticamp.

My wife and I and another couple went here to eat on August 18, 2024 around 11am, if the owner wants to look into this further.
Upon entering there was two other tables being occupied one seemed to be the owner the other was two RCMP officers. 1 table in the corner was dirty from 4 plates of previous customers.
Upon walking in the owner told us we could sit in the corner and the waitress would clean the table if we wished but we just chose to sit at a table that was already cleaned off.
I ordered a large water with lots of ice, When it came it was a small glass with only two ice cubes The water was warm and the ice cubes melted almost instantly. When I asked for more ice cubes the waitress gave me a snotty reply and said "I have to make those by hand so we're limited on ice"
My buddies girlfriend ordered a Bud light the waitress brought a Coors light.

Our food came and I will say the food was great two of us had fish and chips and two people had breakfast.
Our waitress never came back once to ask how everything was to ask if we needed anything, didn't even come back to ask if anyone wanted anything else she simply walked over and put her bills on the table.

At this time my buddy asked if he could have a refill on his coffee, which never did come. She never came back to the table to take our payment, we walked up to the counter to make our payment still with no coffee for my friend, and can you believe it that table in the corner that was covered in plates when we came in was still covered in plates when we left.
Like I said the food was fantastic the service was terrible, and for someone that works in the service industry and works for tips I'm generally a very good tipper however this time none of us felt a need to leave anything for the terrible service we had.

I myself will never return.

We stopped in randomly and left with big smiles and full bellies. Everyone was so kind, and the food recommendations were perfect. I wish we lived here, so we could visit more.

This is a biased opinion, but the chowder is not creamy and the seafood in it didn't seem the best quality or quantity, tasted good though .

Fish was on the smaller side , and fries are krinkle cut oven fries

There are more options as you go up the road

Ordered a 3-piece fish and chips to go (pan-fried instead of deep-fried). The fish was pretty decent but unfortunately the fries were frozen and not fresh, and the tartar sauce wasn't homemade.

Service was friendly and food was ready in around 15 min, but it wasn’t busy.
