We had the 3 course evening special and it was amazing! Great food, amazing servers. I had the fish and chips the day before and it was great as well. Also surprisingly good coffee for a restaurant!

The steak and scallops were overcooked. The strawberry shortcake was tasty and the staff were lovely although I was not asked how my meal was. The setting is pretty but I cannot recommend based on an expensive, unenjoyable meal.

Margeri was our server. She was very pleasant and wonderful to talk with. Very informative about the local seafood scene. We had the lobster and snow crab meal. It was phenomenal. We were sat by a window and had a great view of the ocean. Although we left before the sun set, if you time it right, I imagine the view would be amazing. Will be back.

We had the most delicious supper last Sunday night at your restaurant. It was my first time having a meal there and I will be returning for sure. A beautiful sunset presented itself as we step outside the dining area.

We just had the most delicious dinner. The staff was so accommodating, letting us sit on the verandah with our dogs. Jessie was a wonderful server. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The actual Lobster Pound Bistro is no longer in operation. However the Island Sunset Restaurant certainly is and offers a much more comfortable dining experience. The seafood is terrific and we actually went back a second time as we saw some great choices on the menu. They have daily specials and the first time it was half crab half lobster and was great!

Fantastic lobster and crab special! The carrot cake for dessert is also great!

This place has been closed for two years. !!!!!! All the signage is still up and many stop by hoping for a meal or take out. Will it open again???? The location is ok with a view of the harbour. There is great swimming and beach close by. Opportunity for a self starter start up kitchen something.

Great location., staff and fish and chips . Beautiful view. Quiet. Reasonable prices. Close to the Cabot Trail.
