Extremely disappointing first-time experience. We visited Lanes Membertou recently, and three of us were verbally abused and racially targeted by a staff member named Ron over a simple misunderstanding—using a lane that was under repair, which had no signage or warning to indicate it was off-limits. Instead of explaining the situation professionally, Ron came out yelling, using extremely rude, aggressive, and racist language—not once, but multiple times—even after we politely apologized. This happened in front of the manager and other guests, yet no action was taken. The manager did not address the staff’s behavior and only offered us a vague apology, suggesting we send an email if we wanted to complain. What makes this worse is that they have a Code of Conduct clearly posted at the entrance, stating that abusive language, threatening behavior, and racism will not be tolerated—yet that’s exactly what we experienced. It’s unacceptable and deeply upsetting.

Went here for the first time with two friends and had a terrible experience. Our lane wasn’t working, so we started using the one beside it. An employee named Ron showed up and was rude, aggressive, and made racially charged comments — not just once, but multiple times. As a person of color, it was extremely upsetting. The manager gave us another lane and some extra time, but said nothing about Ron’s behavior — no apology, no accountability. This kind of treatment ruined what should’ve been a fun night. Very disappointing and unacceptable. They didn’t follow there company’s code of conduct which was there on the entrance only.

We had a great time playing last night our lane kept on breaking down so they moved us to another lane and gave us extra time. We had so much fun we paid for another hour staff were friendly and kind we never ate food but great entertainment thank you.

Staff is lovely to work with and they are all lovely and amazing
I was at the Lanes with 6 people in total. We did 2hrs and had a lot of fun. We had a few issues with our lane not resetting pins correctly and not auto tracking a few balls, so I think at least lane 9 is due for some maintenance. Even when it was working, it was very slow. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. If you're patient and just going to have a good time it's a great night out with friends.

Lanes at Membertu are a great place to be if you like bowling and a great place to do it! They also offer their facilities to family gatherings, and children's birthday parties! They do serve hot and cold food and drinks, and there is a full function bar as well! I had a blast at my granddaughters birthday party there! Great service and great cheer awaits you there!
