This is a must visit if visiting Nova Scotia. We made the detour from Antigonish to much of the dismay of hungry children and it was well worth it for everyone. There is a love and pride that exudes in this place from the unique decor to the excellent sandwiches. It was unfortunate that the Cuban was sold out, but they had a smoked meat sandwich special that was probably the best sandwich I've had from any restaurant. The kids loved them as well, and everyone thought it was worth the 30 minute drive out of the way. They have a lot of great sounding daily specials too that we would have loved to try. A nice hidden gem, that must also be loved by the city as we found out after buying ice creams (also excellent), that the mayor had bought $100 worth of ice cream for patrons that were buying a scoop. Which is what you would expect from only a place that is so beloved by the town. And the staff were all so friendly and welcoming, definitely a hidden gem we would love to go back to if we visit the East Coast again.

One of the hidden gem.. Quality of food and service was another level.. all the items were homemade.. sourdough bread was epic.. we had latte, berry smoothie, cheese bagel, different toasties ( Gauc, hummus, toppings, feta cheese).

Highly recommend!! The best drinks! Great food! And excellent service! Love their iced lattes and they have so many awesome lunch and breakfast foods! It’s definitely worth the drive! If you haven’t been you’re missing out!

What a gem. Went to visit my cousin Jen that lives in mulgrave and she brought us to this unique restaurant right beside the water. Food was delicious (especially the egg wrap and sandwiches on sour dough bread. Also, make sure you take a couple scones to go). They definitively take pride in their family business.Sit out on the front porch and check out the beautiful view, dine inside, sit in car and watch the causeway or get it to go. All very great choices.I'll be back there hoping next spring or early summer. Strongly recommend this place

Finally had an opportunity to stop in this weekend and I'm sad I waited so long! Absolutely delicious wrap, yummy date square (which I gave half away and only now finishing because it's huge!), and lovely service!! 10/10 make the stop in, you won't be disappointed!
