On the 8th day God created Acropole pizza and then he rested. Or at least I think that's how it goes. If anything it's the best pizza spot in New Glasgow, top tier pizza, and one of the better donair poutines.

Pizza had far too much cheese. Dough was too thick and undercooked, cheese helped make this worse. Looked possibly like thin salami was used instead of pepperoni. Undercooked, chewy, and heavy.Pepperoni was raw and complete uncooked, as it was buried under cheese.Sauce was brown and lacked any tomato flavour.This was my second time ordering from here, same thing last time.

We were told to try a Donair while in Nova Scotia. A friend who used to live in New Glasgow said to go to Acropole.And wow!!Never had them before but they were fabulous. We just ordered the Small size. You would never know they were stuffed. Tons of beef. Hard to hold and could use a bib to catch the sauce.And our friend said it's the sauce that distinguishes a good Donair from an imitation.Acropolis does the sauce right. Perfect!Highly recommended but be sure you're hungry.

Half a monster (large) sandwich and 3 napkins, my craving for NS donairs has been temporarily satisfied. I've heard that their pizzas are pretty good as well, which seems to be proven by awards. I predict another visit before returning to Ontario next week.
