We stopped in New Glasgow coming back from Cape Breton to Montreal. We weren’t very hungry and we were tired. The shoebox Cantina hit the spot with fresh, tasty food. We shared the daily salad which was a mushroom and spinach salad. Very good. And we shared the chicken fajitas Also fresh and good. But the bonus was the fact that the atmosphere of the Cantina revived us after a very long day. A great place to really feel like New Glasgow was a great place stop

Had an unexpected, amazing visit to the Shoebox Cantina. Heading home from the Cape and decided to venture into New Glasgow for a bite instead of the usual fast food stop off the highway. Randomly picked a restaurant based on pics, and we were not disappointed. Don our server was super friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The food was fresh and delicious (feature salad, vegan power bowl, and crab ragoon). It was open mic, the local talent were just that, super talented. So happy we stopped, definitely will be detour-ing in the future for this gem!!!

What a phenomenal meal. My friends and I had such a great time and at the end of our summer in New Glasgow, we still recalled this very meal and reflected on how amazing it was. The waitstaff were so lovely and accommodating. The only thing I would say is I wish they didn't have TVs, but that's more of a personal complaint rather than one against the place. In general, the live music really sealed it for us: we all agreed that this is a great place!

I highly recommend Shoebox Cantina. Delicious food, a large selection of salads, bowls and tapas, but also sandwiches, tacos, burgers and wings. The waitress was so nice, she gave us good advice and gave us tips. Really really nice. Oh, there is also live music...?❤️

Everything here was great!
The service was top notch. I had the cantina fries which were really great, the fresh jalapeno on there really worked great. I had a special smoked salmon pasta which was pretty unique and really good if you're a fan of bagels and lox.
The Spanish toast dessert was pretty unreal. I loved it, but frankly I could have done to split it with someone. It's very decadent.
Service was spot on. Everyone was super nice and attentive.

Been here several times and everything is always perfect. The service is phenomenal, the food is delicious, and the drinks are fantastic. The specials are creative and the standard menu has great options for everyone.
This is absolutely my favorite place is town and I look forward to going back soon.
