This is one of the best meals I've ever had. Everything was absolutely perfect. The atmosphere is perfect. The staff is incredibly pleasant. Food is sourced as local as possible and the bartender/owner is flawless. Best signature drinks I've ever had. Ask for the plum thing, it's unbelievable. Hats off to the chef !

My sister and I went and were so blown away. We asked for a veggie pasta and it was honestly the best pasta we ever had. The app, main and cocktail were all to die for. And the owners were so incredibly sweet and accommodating. Can’t wait to come back and bring everyone I know!!!

Food was good, but not for the prices.
Service was also incredibly slow with just 1 waiter (the owner).
I completely understand you are looking to hire but I would consider doing this quickly as we had to wait over 20 minutes to get on the “list” to even order drinks.

We had the very best time at the Gul Bistro. The food was the absolute amazing. I was born in Stellarton and I am very picky about how my seafood is cooked and this place was top notch!! The owner was the one who greeted us and he was also our server. The service and food was absolutely a 5/5!! I wish you all the best!! You are most certainly doing it right!! Take care.

The Little Gull Bistro is an absolute highlight of our trip across Nova Scotia. The owners are so friendly, they know their stuff, it is family run, and the food is exquisite. We tried a variety of dishes - beef, seafood, and veggies were all perfect. We will absolutely be coming back every chance we get.

This place charges $4 for a cup of hot water, they had the windows covered, no ambiance inside, and a VERY RUDE male server. Bad vibes all around.
We left before ordering due to his attitude and won't be back.
I want to emphasize that the reason we left was because of the server: he was extremely arrogant, very rude, and had lots of attitude. He barked at us and was very unprofessional. We ended up having a bad night thanks to him.
My husband and I celebrated our 37th wedding anniversary here last night. Good service. Excellent meal. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
What a lovely surprise this restaurant was! Recommended while we were staying in new Glasgow as an option for dinner. Tom, the owner (was also taking care of our table) made some amazing suggestions and gave us all the details of each dish. Everything was meticulously prepared. The service was so friendly and welcoming. Will definitely visit you when we come back again. Thanks for a wonderful evening. Terri Schacher

A must-stop! Little Gull Bistro is easily my favorite spot in Nova Scotia. It’s hard to put into words just how special the experience was, but I’ll try. The service was warm, thoughtful, and attentive, and paired perfectly with the welcoming atmosphere. The menu is full of care and creativity, with a focus on locally sourced ingredients that truly shine.
Tom and Willow are doing something really special here — you can feel the heart in everything they do. Willow’s talent in the kitchen is clear in every dish. My personal favorites were the focaccia, the chocolate mousse, and the chicken fricassée. Everything was absolutely delicious. If I lived nearby, I’d be a regular without a doubt!

Mushroom toast starter was excellent. The mains we chose were the seafood conchiglie and fusilli al ragu, both are delicious. A note worthy seasonal drink for summer 2025 is what I believe they called an “English Garden”!!!!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

A perfect 5-star score isn't something you see every day - but for Little Gull Bistro it is completely deserved. One of the last stops before we finish our fantastic Nova Scotian holiday, Little Gull Bistro was one of the absolute highlights.
The food is superb. Coming from Europe we sometimes have different flavours or expectations from restaurants but at the Little Gull all our culinary desires were met... And on top of that the service is incredible. We got the warmest welcome from Tom and the rest of the staff, which made the whole night feel magical.
All in all I would say one of the best restaurants in the Maritimes.
Highly recommended.

Fabulous food!! Definitely some of the best meals we've had. Both their homemade pasta and focaccia are delicious. Everything was perfectly seasoned.

We were driving from Boston to Cape Breton and stopped at Lil Gul’s for dinner, and honestly, it turned out to be one of the best meals of the whole trip.
Everything we ordered was amazing. The mussels were super fresh and tender, the salmon was perfectly cooked with that nice crispy edge, and the chicken fricassee was just… comforting. Rich, flavorful, and exactly what you want after a long day of travel. You could tell everything was made with care and really good ingredients.
The space was cozy and had a great vibe, but what made it even better was the service. Tom and Willow took such good care of us. They were warm, friendly, and made some fantastic drinks to go with the meal. You could feel how much they cared about what they were doing, and it made the whole experience feel personal.
This place was a total gem. One of those unexpected highlights you end up talking about for the rest of the trip.
