Second time I have been here, had the waitress, Carmel the first time, and her daughter tonight, best mussels in town, had a great time both times, super friendly service, talked about becoming a regular that’s how good it is! Shout out to the Dock for being my favourite spot in town!

Stopped by after an afternoon at Melmerby Beach
Snug little place with a diverse selection on tap. The menu is simple with no poetic descriptions of the ingredients- just the name of the dish. We started with the mozza sticks which I am sure did not come out of a box. She had the a daily special, a very tasty salad with an unusual combo of greens, fruit & seeds topped with shrimp. I had the blackened haddock which was fresh, flaky and had a bark of pepper- also very tasty
The decor is eclectic and is fun to look at between sips and bites
We will definitely visit again
Good spot to enjoy a stout
We had a few minutes to stop in New Glasgow on our way up to Cape Breton and this was the perfect place! I had seen it as a recommendation and was happy to find it open with lots of available tables. We missed the lunch rush and hit it before dinner so it was quiet and have us the opportunity to look around a bit. Super cool old building with lots of history. It has been done up well and definitely nails down the Irish pub vibe! Food was good. Staff were friendly.

Amazing atmosphere! But the steak sandwich was small (sandwich and fries were barely half the plate) and the meat on the sandwich tastes off almost like donair meat. Took over an hour to get our food. Pretty disappointed to leave feeling not full after spending $80

Food was amazing and the service was good....cute inside, played music at a level you could still have conversations over. The wait staff was attentive but not overly friendly. This place has a really cool roof top patio apparently but it wasn't great weather so we were seated inside. Lots of parking across the street which is just a short walk away.

Restaurantji Recommends
EXTREMELY overpriced tourist trap. Confused as it’s an Irish pub but serves mostly Italian and Asian cuisine? Pretty small portions and they had limited flexibility when we asked for substitutions. My burger came without half the toppings it was supposed to and the chicken parmesan was lacklustre. Napkins and cutlery were dirty. Good service though.
Sat on the roof for a quick dinner and drink- what a lovely spot! Waitress was so friendly and had great recommendations. We loved the burger and fish&chips, as well as local beers on tap!
