We went to Tilly’s for a retirement dinner from work. Everyone that attended mentioned the family fun atmosphere and the amazing food. We were all treated to the amazing steak cooked to perfection along with some scallops and shrimp which were unreal. Crab cakes were also the talk of the night along with pork dumplings and of course the mussels. Highly recommend this place for any occasion. Thanks again Chef Brad, Laurel and staff.

The restaurant has been a staple location that we patron on a fairly regular basis. Whether you are looking for a place to have a date night, celebrate success, or just get together and enjoy a good meal, you are very likely to find yourself in good hands with Tilly’s.
Their standards are high, and their prices are reasonable in comparison to their standards. It is not pretentious or stuffy. It’s like coming home. The only dress code you have to worry about is a smile. You will quickly find that you found a place you are always welcome and appreciated.

The entire experience was phenomenal. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Food was amazing, we both ordered the steak and we both said it was the best steak we ever had. We Will definitely be back again when we are in the area. We are from Ontario. If we lived in New Glasgow we would be regulars at Tilly’s Kitchen.

I have dined at Tilly's multiple times and never left disappointed. This time it was for my mother's birthday, and I had my two sons (11 & 14) with me. We had appetizers, mains and desserts, everything was delicious. Our server was fantastic, very friendly and accommodating. I know I will be back again!

We celebrated our anniversary at Tilley's. The experience was amazing. The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable about all their products. They even hand wrote a card for our anniversary! The thought and care put into the entire interaction was just amazing. We had a wonderful time. The food was incredible - we both had a bowl of soup, which was a squash, apple! Then we both had the 6 oz beef tenderloin (medium), one with 5 Cajun shrimp, mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables and the other without the shrimp. For dessert we had a creme brule, which was creamy and rich, and an apple berry crumble. All of the food was cooked to perfection. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!

A short while ago I finally has an opportunity to eat there, and it was just as I had imagined. The food was some of the best I think I've ever eaten. The service was impeccable.

One of the best meals I have EVER eaten! When my parents told me that Tilly’s was a must-do while I was home visiting, they were not joking. From the appetizers to the main, the whole experience was top tier. Excellent service, delicious appetizers, and a main that would rival any restaurant from the city that’s double the cost. We had pork dumplings and the squid, from which the sauce was worth drinking to the last drop. The beef tenderloin and prawns with mashed for my main was exquisite. 10/10 would recommend.
Nice big oysters and the special fish cake/orange salad appetizer was delicious. Beef tenderloin dinner was super as usual. Creme Brulee for dessert - perfect. The service was great but could have slowed down a bit - our whole meal was finished in an hour and we would not have minded spending a bit more time; however, we will be back to Tilley's as soon as we have another occasion to celebrate. We are fortunate to have them nearby.

Located in a comfortable old house with good parking. Reservations are a good idea because it's a very popular place with locals and visitors.

We arrived to a birthday card on the table signed by all the staff. A taste test of a lovely rose.

The appetizers, I’ll be thinking about the grilled calamari until the next time I go. The smokiness and depth to the marinade was incredible.
The mussels were pure perfection, the most delicate and flavourful tomato sauce.
The oysters were great, we like ours with lemon, pepper and tobasco and they accommodated that.
The salmon, perfectly cooked, the risotto was lovely and the salsa added a lovely cool, smoky crunch to the whole dish.
My fathers Alberta beef with homemade demi glacé (which he asked if it was homemade prior to ordering) did not disappoint and the steak melted in your mouth.
The truffles and port with raspberry coulis… was something you wanted to savour and you don’t want it to end.
Absolutely incredible meal around and the service was exceptional. So exciting to see Halifax quality (but even better) in new Glasgow. We shall be back!
