The food was tasty with large portions. The picture of my fish and poutine is an half of the order I shared with my husband. Everything was fresh. Staff was awesome. They let us bring our dogs in (provided they were well behaved which they were). Would definitely recommend stopping in to this quaint little place if you’re staying in the area or driving through. It was recommended to me by a couple of nice local gentlemen while I was at the laundromat. Note. It is cash only.

I don’t like fish at all, and I tried the most delicious local haddock fish and chips served so kindly and the atmosphere was so chill even though it was quite busy. No crazy loud music in the place just quiet chatting of people at their tables and that was so nice. Felt exactly like the cute community I was in. Loved it!

We were staying in the neighborhood and needed a place to eat in walking distance to our B and B, so gave Bettie’s a try. Neighborhood feels quite industrial so we weren’t sure at first, but the instant we stepped inside, we knew we’d found a gem. The atmosphere, the people, the server, the food—everything was top shelf. This restaurant alone is worth a drive to Sydney.
