We chose to eat here due to the great reviews. But be aware, it is not easy to get in. They are closed Monday and Tuesday. I had to make reservations 5 days out. We liked it so much, we all wanted to return, but there were no openings during our remaining time in the area. Plan ahead! The food was delicious! The service is over-the-top good. The chef came out to the table a couple of times and gave us samples of a couple of things. Seating is limited, so this is why you have to reserve so far in advance. I'd say that this is the best place we ate during our stay on Cape Breton Island. We all loved it.

We ordered breaded chicken and the seasonal halibut special. They were wonderful, and the portion size was worth it. The dessert, the toffee pudding was top notch. Overall, the food is amazing, and the service staff were super friendly. I’d recommend this place to anyone.

My partner and I have been here twice and both times have been absolutely wowed by the atmosphere, service and the food. I can tell that I will enjoy anything I order but personally I cannot recommend their maple chicken enough, it’s absolutely perfect. The reservation only set-up makes it very quiet and peaceful for eating, and the view of the harbour is lovely. It has quickly become one of our favourite spots in town! The chef takes a huge amount of care in the quality of his food and in the happiness of his customers, as does his wife, and they make sure all their guests are satisfied and although we haven’t had a single issue I feel confident if we did, it would be fixed quickly if we raised it. Absolutely a North Sydney hidden gem.

I just wanted to reach out with a sincere heartfelt thank you! Last night we ventured over for the first time ever to celebrate our anniversary ❤️ we had no idea reservations were required. When we showed up the restaurant was full for the evening. It was all good we would come back another time. That was until the chef came outside to ask where we would go now, I stated it’s ok we will find somewhere. He came to find out the reason for the visit and made the decision with his lovely wife to squeeze us in ❤️ well well well! It was hands down the best food, atmosphere, service and prices we have experienced on the island!! The food was so delicious and the portions were huge! The fab duo checked on us repeatedly making sure we had everything we needed! Thank you for making our special day even better than we could imagine. We will be back! ❤️❤️

We had the most amazing meal (succulent lobster & flavourful scallops) at this truly wonderful restaurant.

The owners (& chef) Rich & Leslie were so fantastic and made us feel very special. We both loved Richie’s great dry sense of humour and how they both engaged us in conversation and added to the quality of our dining experience.

They also recommended some other restaurants for our trip around Cape Breton Island, that we took advantage of.

I highly recommend this restaurant and we are thankful we were able to dine there and enjoy Rich & Leslie so much.

This establishment was a delight! The food presentation was top notch, it was delicious and the portion was very generous. The atmosphere was cozy and the other guests were so friendly (most of them were from the area). I cannot wait to come back here again! Fantastic restaurant!! The seafood chowder was the best I’ve ever had. Very generous portions. Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Seating is by reservation only.

Heading across to Newfoundland and managed to get a reservation here. If you get the chance don't miss out. Richie is a top shelf chef. Deep fried jumbo shrimp, bowl of seafood chowder and lobster ravioli. Just me. We were spoiled right off the bat on our trip with this incredible food. His wife Leslie doesn't miss a beat with serving you. Limited hrs and space so make a reservation days ahead. Won't be disappointed
