We were on our way to Newfoundland, port aux basque. Had to come back here.. A bit off our path. Worth the trip off the major highway for a break. GREAT FOOD and Atmosphere.. Stay at the Sunshine. Nothing fancy. Clean cozy, roomy enough, cold fridge, good breakfast.

Ordered tea and fish and chips. It was very tasty. Light batter on fish and crispy fries. I didn't get coleslaw with my meal, but to be fair it was technically breakfast still... so I'll let that slide ;) waitress was attentive and I loved the atmosphere and view.
We ordered 2 take out clams and fries to eat out by the water, we ate once before and had to throw it out to the seagulls but thought ok things must have improved as so many people who eat in posted such high reviews, although still really greasy I did eat the clams ( paid $23 so had to eat a little) but again threw out the fries to the seagulls, we love clams and fries and let’s face it they are fried in grease but you do not expect it to be greasy when you go to eat it, would not go again
