I witnessed the lady at this hot dog stand (Klaire) being extremely friendly with her customers, however we, unfortunately, also witnessed her other side. My sister had just gotten her 4 month old baby settled and was breastfeeding at a far away bench, when Klaire came over and very rudely told us we had to leave unless we bought something from her hotdog stand. My sister ended up sitting on the wet grass to continue breastfeeding, since she had just gotten her baby settled, when Klaire came over again and said we "had to leave NOW" (basically yelling at this point). We were all in shock of the way we had been treated and the difference in how she treated us vs her customers. She definitely put a damper on our experience at Peggy's Cove, which had been lovely up until that point.

The worst experience I’ve ever had. The owner practically made me cry. She was extremely rude and kept yelling at us to get out. We saw the empty chairs on our way back to the car, honestly, I had no idea the chairs are for ‘customers only’, there is no sign or anything, it’s not clear at all that they belong to this establishment. And I just thought I could use one of them to feed my baby. Is it so hard to find some kindness in your heart to let a woman feed her child? Most of the chairs were empty anyway. Why would you be yelling like that and scaring all your customers away? Appalling experience.

Best veggie dog I’ve ever had! The owner is the sweetest person on earth, the veggie dog was cooked crispy and wrinkly (just how I like it) and the atmosphere/location is as good as it gets! Definitely stop here if you’re ever in Peggy’s Cove!

Clare (the owner of Peggy's Dogs, running the stand - I had to ask her name) was easily one of the top highlights of our whole Maritime vacation! We could have spent hours talking to her - so genuine, caring and kind. Shows a real personal interest in everyone, and we loved how she calls us "love". We're huge fans of Brit TV and movies, and love the accent, but it was more than that with Clare. She loves what she does, loves people, and loves life. It shows. She made our day and the food was delicious. Thanks Clare and keep doing what you're doing! We all benefited from your genuine fun personality and personal interest! The best lil place to eat at Peggy's cove. Not a long wait time for a sausage and a drink for cheap. Service is top notch ?, the sweet lady on the grill was fun and energetic with every one from my group. She had plenty of toppings and even a vegetarian option! Highly recommend you check her out

The owner is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet . Had a lovely chat with her . We ordered for 4 people and she noticed we had 2 small dogs with us . She said pets eat for free and proceeded to give us a BBQ weiner for each dog . She has a water dish for thirsty pets as well . I highly recommend her Dog stand for anyone visiting Peggy's Cove , especially those who have Fur babies with them . Thank you so much :)

We took a tour from Halifax to Peggy's Cove and our tour guide recommended Peggy's Dogs. We had walked around Peggy's Cove and decided to rest on some Adirondack chairs across from Peggy's Dogs and wait for our return van. Peggy was near closing as she had only a few sausages left so we decided to get one. The sausage was delicious but Claire, the owner, was a delight to talk to. If you go to Peggy's Cove you need to save room for a sausage and enjoy meeting Claire.
