Says they are open on google maps but when I got there they were closed. I’m disappointed they didn’t update this website.
Sou’Wester Gift & Restaurant is a must-visit spot in Peggy’s Cove. The restaurant serves delicious seafood, and I highly recommend their lobster and crab. The food is always fresh, portions are generous, and the service is outstanding. The staff, from the friendly and attentive waiters to the welcoming gift shop team, truly make you feel at home.
The gift shop is fantastic, offering a wide variety of souvenirs, including local crafts, postcards, and jewelry. It’s the perfect place to pick up a keepsake from your visit.
The location is unbeatable - right next to Peggy’s Point Lighthouse, with breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean. Dining here, surrounded by such stunning scenery, is an unforgettable experience.

You can find good quality food that fits your budget here. The prices are reasonable, and the menu features classic dishes that aren’t overly fancy. It’s a nice place to eat while visiting Peggy's Cove. Be sure to check for reservations because it tends to get busy during the tourist season.
The food is decent, though nothing extraordinary. We had breakfast; the eggs were fresh and cooked just the way I liked them. The meat was juicy, and the bacon wasn’t overcooked. My husband enjoyed the French toast. The fries were fresh and crispy, and my dish came with a homemade strawberry jam that was fantastic—smooth and not overly sweet. The whole grain toast was also very good and generously thick.
The service was exceptional, and all the staff were friendly.

I came here with family visiting from out of town. We sat down at a table expecting to be served since the restaurant is open until 6 pm and we arrived at 3:35 pm. We weren’t acknowledged. All the staff members were sitting in the far corner of the restaurant chatting. They were aware we were there and looked over at us several times as if we were an inconvenience and no one ever came over or said anything. We ended up leaving. Terrible service to not even be acknowledged. Disappointed local that won’t be back.

We didn't eat here, so the review is only about the souvenir part of this place: a lot of different interesting souvenirs. Divided into two floors. Clothes, jewelry, magnets, decorative items and so on and so forth. I think everyone who came to visit the lighthouse will be able to find something for themselves here.
It's also very good that at the entrance there is an interactive machine for searching interesting places and events.
