My son brought be a bag of the shortbread cookies from a trip out east... they are BY FAR THE BEST SHORTBREAD cookies I have ever tried. Your biggest Manitoba fan!!! ( only sharing with those I love deeply )
There was a funky smell upon entering, but I think it was humidity + old building. We purchased some green tomatoe chow for my father , and bought some of the famous shortbread cookies , they were divine !
This is a fantastic bakery! Not only do they have great shortbread (we tried the classic and maple shortbreads- both great) but they had a FABULOUS variation on a Nanaimo bar. Instead of the graham cracker crust, they substituted walnut fudge! Crazy good. Must try this place!
