The Nook and Cranny: On The Water.

Great service and great beer! Salad was also good. But the beer was great! Coldstream clear

So disappointed in the food!

Went with my wife for dinner. Good food and friendly staff.

It's a wonderful place to dine, offering a delightful selection of excellent choices.

Had a really nice meal here last week. The beer bacon and Gouda dip from the appetizers list was great, My date lived the hot honey chicken sandwich, and the tap list was really nice!

Excellent first time enjoying menu waitress was the best bar none highly recommended

We enjoyed decent company and a good meal by the waterfront in Pictou here in the Nook and Cranny. Despite the name, the restaurant is spacious enough for about 10 tables on its main first floor. We happened to visit when they had a live band playing.

We tried the Cranberry Coconut Chicken, as well as their BBQ Bacon Burger and Mac & Cheese. The creativity was interesting on the moist flavorful chicken dish filled with feta cheese although I couldn’t taste coconut or cranberry. The other dishes tasted good.

Service was a bit slow on arrival but kind in helping us with several group photos for the fun outing. The central location is near a shipbuilding landmark & overlooks the paper mill across the waters.

We just pulled into Pictou...and headed out for a nice "bottle" of wine and fine dining. We headed over to Marinas...but unfortunately they didnt sell bottles of wine...(only by the glass or half liter) nor did they have entres other than fish. But no worries...we decided to head over to "Nook & Cranny" instead.
We just settled into our perfect water view patio spot....and low and behold the owner of Marinas drove by in his truck to question us, as to why we left his restaurantto come here??? He even held up traffic to do so....I kindly answered "because I wanted chicken" and he rudely answered...."they have chicken? And sped off. Who does this?? He seemed a little "unhinged" to me. And really took me off guard.
None the less we had an excellent server and equally excellent food with an amazing patio at "NOOK & CRANNY" professional but laid back...great atmosphere. Thank-
you "Nook and Cranny" for restoring our expectation of hometown hospitality we were expecting in Pictou, Nova Scotia!!!

Stopped in while driving through Pictou. Great location with view of the water. Large parking lot behind the restaurant (free parking). I ordered a burger with fries, my friend a chicken sandwich on gluten free bread with a side of rice. The fryer is gluten contaminated so the only gf side options are salad or rice. Great place.

Dietary restrictions: Fryer is glutenous. They offer gluten free bread substitute.

Unfortunately we won't be back. After waiting 25 minutes to be seated, our food arrived cold. Unfortunately no wait staff checked in on the meal. I had also asked for real bacon instead of bacon bits and paid extra however did not receive the correct product. Not a 90 dollar value.

The ONLY spot to get Truffle Fries LOADED with Parm & Garlic Aioli for only a $3 Upgrade!!! Well Done ? The Blueberry Haddock is also a wonderful taste sensation and cooked to a Crispy Perfection (not soggy batter like most tend to serve up). I also Gota say that I absolutely love the Bougie rustic napkins! You'll see what I mean...
