The Macdonalds in Port Hawkesbury is pretty tasty! They also always come up with different food selections every few weeks or so,which i find is a smart idea because I like to mix up my orders alot,instead of getting the same thing everytime. So if your in the area of Port hawkesbury, I recommend you stop in at Macdonalds for a good fast meal,I recommend the Big Mac meal,it's a good tasty burger and the service is excellent!.

Stopped in times, got short changed by Cashier 2 of those 3 times! 3rd time We were not listened to, and our order was wrong! Manager Rob was nasty to us, argumentative, and disrespectful. Accused us of Lying, Bill was $21.75, Handed Cashier 101.75 got back $70.25! If he had corrected the change, we'd have left a better review. but after being treated badly and ripped off, we just can't!

Update to come in july 2025 due to massive renos -2024-Still can counter-order from living people at a cadh here, but also the option of kiosk, or mobile/drivethrough.. Big eat-in area, lots of table, lots of windows.

Food was the usual but you can tell they don't care about people in the dining room. We had to wait forever for our food. They kept serving the drive through and neglecting any other orders.
I was travelling with my friends for the first time towards sydney NS, an had a stop at this place.. it was all chaos at here , found two guyz working here .. i don’t want to put an finger on an community or something, just being as an customer to MC D .. just ordered some fries n burgers.. the asian guy working tonight was so unprofessional, seems he lacks with a lot of knowledge and was not in a mood “ not to work” but the other guy who seems to be an south asian “Indian” he was very nice and helped us to get the order delivered. I really wish if the management sees this and take some action for this guy and make him learn how to treat customers.

Please consider a hygiene inspection for this location - 3 times consecutively at this location I have stopped for a coffee and a mcmuffin whilst traveling to visit family, only to vomit almost exactly 3 minutes after my first sip of coffee.
The first time I thought it must be me, the second time I started seeing a trend, today was the third time the food here has made me throw up with the exact same symptom/experience over the course of three visits over two years (stomach turns to knots, immediately have to vomit).
While I have absolute sympathy for the employees that offer great service at this location (ALWAYS polite and friendly here), the quality of the product has never been great. The coffee in particular always tastes old and acidic which I shouldn't be able to tell at all considering I take a triple triple.
Without being a professional in the industry, my only conclusion is that the kitchen itself/the machines are not being cleaned properly. The only other time in my life I've had similar symptoms is a 3 year old keurig that had mold in the permanent filter.
At the very least, please consider this review for the sake of public safety. McDonalds is a frequent stop as I travel the maritimes, out of the 4 locations I routinely stop during this particular trip, this is the only one my stomach has had issues with.

I visited the McDonald's in port hawksburg, Oxford Nova scotiask for a burger with no ketcout of the tool that I ordered one head. No, catch up the other was smothered in it.
