Thursday evening we went to Millers for supper. Service was excellent. I ordered chicken Alfredo, only ate half, thankfully, portions were huge. By 10:30 that evening I was doubled over in pain, then started vomiting accompanied with diarrhea. This continued every 5-10mins until 8:30 the next morning. My husband took me to the hospital, & I was put on IV meds & fluids for the next 6hours. Another coworker of mine, also had the alfredo but without the chicken, he too was sick and had to call into work because of it. I can honestly say it was the sickest I have ever been in my life. Two days later, I am still not 100%. I called to report this incident to Millers yesterday, spoke to the chef, but seemed to be defensive more than apologetic. I missed work & spent the day in a hospital. I know this can easily happen, but not if you take extra precautions. Do better, please.

Dined here while staying at Maritime Inn Port Hawkesbury. Good family style Restaurant with a bar. Seemed popular with the locals as it was busy on a Sunday evening. Our waitress Pam started us off with drinks. I like that they offered ½ carafes of wine. We chose the Crobster Dip for an appetizer. For dinner I had the Half Rack of falloff the bone Ribs and my spouse chose the Ginger Beef. We split the Blueberry Lemon Cake for dessert. Great food and service.

Parking: Restaurant is on the lower level of the Inn. Entrance is in the rear of the Inn. Inn guest can access restaurant from Inn lower level.

A group of four, all had hot, tasty food nicely served, well portioned with the exception of me. I ordered a bowl of seafood chowder with a side of garlic bread. The soup was very tasty almost hot enough but ... it was served with a teaspoon to eat it with. The order of garlic bread served with it was one tiny slice of French bread plus one tea biscuit. The tea biscuit was rock hard, totally inedible. Another person at the table had a cup of the same chowder. It was almost the same quantity but at less than half the price. Unfortunately our server, Melinda, did not return to check on us until we had all finished eating so no correction could be sought at the outset. She apologized, ended up removing the chowder and garlic bread charge but too late to ensure all enjoyed their meal. So many errors should not occur with one meal.

A local recommended to eat here and it was a good choice. The waitresses were friendly and the food was good! Loved the chowder and pulled pork! My husband enjoyed his pan-fried haddock too. He always loves the option of pan-fried over battered.

Came across this place when we were following the Taste of Nova Scotia Chowder Trail. Hands down, the best chowder of all the places we tried (over 15 at this point)! Friendly service to boot and reasonable prices.

Our server Jessica, was amazing.
We had the pan seared fish and soup chowder and side of grec salad which is huge portion and generous with toppings.
We made sure to stop by again on our way back to Halifax
Thank a again!!!

I had dinner on the patio, the atmosphere was good, the tables weren't too close together and the music was just right from out there (seemed a bit loud inside). The good was wonderful and the service was top notch!

I ordered pan fried haddock, cream sauce and caesar salad. Results? Haddock was decently cooked, cream sauce had little flavor, had to salt and pepper it heavily. Got my salad served on the haddock plate that was warm and sitting under the warmer. So warm salad was not good. Salad should be served cold and crisp and before the entry. Waitress was excellent.

Staying at the Maritime Inn, I was excited to eat at Miller's. I've eaten there before and enjoyed it. I went in this evening and found the music a little loud for my personal tastes so I put in a take out order.

30 mins later my food was ready and hot. I ordered a club on gluten free bread without tomatoes and regular mayo instead of the spicy Chipotle.

It has the spicy Chipotle on it. Therefore, I ate what wasn't smothered in the sauce and dumped the rest.

It's a busy night and hard to hear over the music. I get it, but I'm pretty disappointed in my meal.

Very expensive for what we ordered, especially when the food was cold by the time we got it. The service was good, but we didn't like the he long wait and cold food!
