I haven't been able to get to the Sandpiper since 2009, and its a must do when I'm there. I was not disappointed. The fish & chips were excellent, although I should have only ordered one piece.

Great spot. Off the main road, was busy AND service was quick and friendly! Food was good. Family style restaurant. Gluten free options; kitchen was cautious! Best slice of gluten free cheese cake weve have had in a long time 😄

The food here is excellent. We had fish and chips, seafood chowder and a Caesar salad. Everything was hot and delicious. The table beside us was eating hot turkey sandwiches and we almost changed our minds! The seafood chowder had mussels, lobster and cod. Nice thick soup.

Really enjoyed the Sandpiper. A true country roadside diner. They have home made biscuits and for the first time in my life, they were served with a bottle of molasses! The ultimate in comfort food. Busy spot at supper time with hardly any tables but a restaurant that is NOT busy at mealtime should be avoided. They are only open for dinner so they make sure that what they do is done well.

1st time here... ordered the lobster clubhouse sooooooo good. Staff were friendly and our server was super lovely! We were a party of 6 and everyone loved their food. Dessert was homemade and delicious. Definitely recommend this place! Looking forward to going back and trying different dishes.

Ordered takeout on a Thursday night. We ordered fish and chips, mozzarella sticks and seafood chowder. I'm from Ontario and I've had better haddock in Ontario which was incredibly disappointing. Fresh fish is only as good as the cook and the fish was so greasy; as if the fryer wasn't the correct temperature. The batter was soggy with grease. The seafood chowder was unacceptably bad. Picture mashed potatoes diluted with water then add seafood; no flavor or creaminess. The mozzarella sticks were okay but wouldn't order again.

My favorite fish and chips. In particular the homemade sweet and sour sauce they (optionally) serve with the fish and chips is perfect. Wish I could recreate it.

Loved going to the Sandpiper until yesterday. It was busy so we expected to wait for our food, but when not 1 but 4 tables were served before us (a table of 5 came in 35 minutes after us), that was it for us. Very disappointed with the service. Probably will never return. Poor management.

Well made, down home food. The beef they use is really tasty. The fish is well cooked. The plum sauce is so good! Definitely get that for your fish. Honestly, the fries aren’t my favourite… we usually get mashed potatoes or potato salad instead. It does get loud in there, some sound baffling would be a benefit. But I do enjoy the simple decor and unfussiness of it all. We go there all the time. A must stop restaurant.
