I want to give a shout out to the service at Taste of Asia. The server was prompt and very helpful in navigating the menu. While the menu is broad, it skews more towards a North American Chinese food experience (e.g. chicken balls, chicken so gai, etc). They do have some more original dishes, like their version of Mapo Tofu. The server was very honest that the dish would be close to authentic.

We took my Mom, who has dementia, out for a drive and she insisted we eat and she chose Asian cuisine so we had the easy choice of picking A Bite of Asia awesome the food and atmosphere there and figured Mom would be fine. Suffice it to say, it didn't go as well as planned. she was very excited until she saw her plate. it was a lovely presentation but her dementia decided thst her plate didn't look the way she had expected and, without trying the food, told the staff she couldn't eat it. They amazing staff was unphased and attempted to please her with another dish. Once we were able to get her to settle in another option I took the opportunity to apologize and let the staff know ow what was up and asked.them.to please not take anything personal. Mom turned her nose up to the second plate which we k ew she would like as she eats it quite often. I just want to thank the incredible Management and Staff at A Bite of Asia for the patience, compassion, and understanding theu showed my Mom as well as my wife and I. You did an amazing job under the circumstances nd I want everyone to know.

The food was great as usual but I was shocked that they added HST when it’s supposed to be exempt right now. Almost $30 tax added.

One of the best options to try Chinese or Asian food..I always go for the combination menu when I dine in for Chinese cuisine..Very filling and worth the price.. Affordable restaurant with multi cuisine options.
worth trying for sure

Ordered the #3 and ½ dozen fried wontons. The wontons were oily and barely warm which should have been the first red flag. The rest of the food came out barely warm as well. The fried rice was not even edible because of how oily it was. The sweet and sour chicken along with the honey garlic ribs - which were dry - were barely edible. The batter on the chicken was slightly underdone inside. The egg roll was an absolute atrocity. One bite and it was all I could do to not spit it out. At one point I heard a microwave and saw in the mirror them taking a plate from a high area after it beeped. This makes me think nothing is cooked fresh. That would explain way it came out so fast. Too fast to be freshly cooked.
I do not recommend ever going to this restaurant.

Had dinner with friends at this place and was pleased by the flavors of their dishes. We got spring rolls (must have), wonton soup (could be better) beef fried rice, young chow fried rice, Szechuan chicken, beef with mixed veggies and chow mein noodles, they were all soooo good and not greasy/oily. The kung pao chicken was meh, it wasn't spicy nor did we see much of the chicken in it. Otherwise, a good experience and will definitely be coming back here! Well worth it - plus the wait for the food was less than 30 mins! ⭐
