Amazing food. Tasty and done to perfection Nova Scotia style. Great location with a view of the port. Both inside and outside seating. The service was fantastic with efficiency and great smile.
Excellent service yummy food
Old school Pub with fantastic fish and chips
My seafood pasta dish was absolutely amazing. My friend had the fish and she loved it as well. I only took off 1 star for the food as my side bread was a bit burnt, I was so full after eating the dish so I didn’t even notice it. The staff were friendly and were really helpful explaining food options. I’m sure if I asked for new bread I would have gotten it with no issue. We sat in the downstairs dining room (so we were able to talk a bit better) which was more suited for dining experience but the upstairs pub area had amazing live music, such a fun time! The view was also beautiful!
We had a reservation. Very slow service. We had a great view of the gas meter and no parking sign. It's been more than 40 minutes still waiting for food. Chowder was inedible....tough little bits of scraps of fish.
Excellent food and service
Food was mediocre at best. Ordered crab cakes from the menu and while we were eating them the server comes and tells us they were fish cakes not crab cakes (we could tell they didn't taste right). They no longer serve crab cakes, haven't changed menus yet.
I visited Sydney for the second time in two years and was really looking forward to enjoying some good lobster. After searching online, I decided to try this place—it looked decent enough. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed.
The lobster they served was tiny, had very little meat, and was served cold. For the price I paid, it was nowhere near worth it—I honestly never thought I’d have the worst lobster experience in Nova Scotia, of all places.
What made it even more frustrating was that I had called ahead and was told the lobster was 1 lb for $35. In the end, I paid significantly more for something that didn’t live up to that description.
If you’re looking for quality seafood, I wouldn’t recommend this place.
Great halibut, salad and sticky toffee pudding
Close to the cruise port. Food is above average. Poutine was good but a little salty.

Great local restaurant. Staff were very friendly.
Great food and service!!
Really great spot in Sydney. Location is super convenient. Lots of options for food and draft. Visited the Cabot trail and decided to stay in Sydney, I'm glad I did. This place did not disappoint. There was live music as well. I bet it's amazing in the summer with the patio. I can't wait to come back.
Great spot to meet and eat in Sydney! Excellent food and service with a beautiful view as well.
Came on a Monday night and our server was wonderful!
