Best stemmed mussels I've had in years! Fish and chips were good but the batter was a little too thick for my taste. Service was friendly but a little slow due to an influx of cruise ship passengers.

We have good seafood in California, and we've enjoyed good seafood around the world, but Governors Pub serves the BEST SEAFOOD CHOWDER EVER! Along with GREAT SERVICE, I asked that the Chef be told that the seafood chowder made me want to MOVE TO SYDNEY!!! We also enjoyed calamari, lobster wonton and GUINNESS! We'll be back!

On our day visit to Sydney a local lady recommended Governor's. We decided to go at 11am before it was too busy.Karen had wonderful French Onion Soup and I the Chowder to start. Then we both had the Lobster lunch. Fantastic. Delicious food, great service, lovely local beer, worth every penny we spent.

Had dinner here with my partner. It has an amazing ambience with well designed interior. The music was on point, calm and relaxing. The food was great, tasty and filling and the service was awesome. Overall, we had a great evening and time well spent. Would definitely recommend the place for a chill evening and would certainly visit again soon.

The Sydney eatery is a highly recommended stop for visitors and locals alike. The environment is warm and inviting. Servers do an excellent job. The seafood chowder and baby back pork ribs were very good. Fish and chips had just a bit too much breading. The Governor's Coffee was excellent.

Just had the most lovelest experience For my family and the food was out of this world the service I had The 10 oz steak just the way I love my steak it was done just right for me my lady had french onion soup was fantastic my daughter had a the chicken parmesan the desserts were absolutely delicious I highly recommend them the price was well worth it you have chefs preparing your meals please drop by you'll love the experience
