Ate here for lunch on Xmas Eve 2023. Very friendly service and I liked our server a lot. There is seating for many (over 100 if you consider the main dining room on the right upon entering, and the "large group" room on the left). There was only one other table taken when we arrived. We each ordered a combo #3 (chicken chow mein, sweet & sour chicken, chicken fried rice, egg roll). We each cleaned our plate bc we were hungry. It was ok. The chow mein was a bit dry and flavorless. The balls' batter had a slightly weird taste, hard and a bit crunchy, with a very artificial red coloring and little flavor. The rice was a bit dry and basic. The plum sauce for the egg roll looked artificially yellow and again, minimal taste. Did I hate it? No. Just have eaten a LOT of "Canadian" Chinese this year in Halifax and this place isn't as good. If someone in Sydney wanted to go there with me some other time, I'd still try it again and test different menu items. Prices reasonable/standard.

Great service, and food was served hot, fresh and quickly. Exactly what we were looking for.

Establishment REEKS of overflowing ashtrays from the 1980s. Unless you enjoy tobacco with your food, I'd suggest avoiding this place. Not close to Asian or Asian fusion whatsoever.Dishes were flavourless, rice was old and very much stuck to itself. Ordered a spicy item and it was anything but. Chicken was cardboard. Dish was all onion otherwise.Music was radio based club noise based on sex and substance use.As a server/bartender I felt for the sever working. There's no way she gets tipped what she deserves based on the clientele that would frequent this dump.

My wife and I have eaten there several times recently and thought it to be great quality with very reasonable prices. Johnny the cook, prepares an excellent feast every time we have been there. Service was, all around, very good. My only suggestion would be to change the quality of the egg and spring rolls. As far as the atmosphere, Chinese restaurants are not historically about decor but I can say it has always been very clean on our visits. We are back there again in 2 weeks and expect Johnny to be once again on his game. We have been use to eating in Calgary’s Chinatown over the years and find this venue more than anadequate replacement.

The Wongton soup is so delicious you must have. The food is very good. It just needs to update the restaurant. The prices are very good.

The service was great. It is longer than usual to get our food, but it was worth the wait.

Every time we try to order the phone is off the hook. I can’t understand that they are still in business

They are getting one star for the great chinese ribs we had, the classic red ones. The Stir-fry however was horrible. Ordered the Cantonese Chow Mein. They were not crispy fried, actually not even egg noodles. The noodles were they type you buy in a box at the chinese grocery. The dish itself had no flavor; no garlic, ginger, oyster sauce or even thickened with corn starch. The dish was tasteless with a puddle of liquid at the bottom.

What use to be a decent place for good food is now a run down disgrace. The quality and the quantity of food has severely gone down hill . It’s pretty bad when a Chinese food restaurant barely gives you enough sweet and sour sauce to cover your batter on what should be chicken . Gross is what I would call it now . Soo Gai severed cold with very little gravy , rice was dry and tasteless , wonton soup served with no pork . I’ve had 3 bad experiences in a row so I’m done . I NEVER write reviews but I felt this needed to be done . Bu the looks of the building and the buckets on the tables , bring an umbrella if it’s damp out !
