The best French toast I have ever had it was the peanut butter and banana one. The ultimate bowl was also really good. Highly recommend to anyone.

We found this place on our weekend trip and it is simply lovely! Very reasonable prices and exceptional food. The jam was home made and was delicious! Wide variety of options on the menu, would recommend!

Waited 50 minutes (almost an hour) for French toast and 3 pieces of bacon. Also a 2 egg meal. I heard the people behind the counter saying they were missing order, so they forgot it. Not to mention the people that came in 20 minutes after I ordered also go their food 10-15 before we did. The food was good but nothing special. I also found that I did not get the amount I paid for, small portion and not filling. Also it’s cash only or e transfer. I don’t like that you pay before you eat as you feel trapped to stay. Overall not a good experience.

It was an overall great experience! The only thing is that we showed up for a later brunch (around 12:45) and they were sold out of a lot of stuff. But the food was great and staff were super friendly and on top of coffee refills!

Ordered Fish n chips and my husband had a hot dog & fries which was way overpriced at $13.99.
Ordered a side of gravy that wasn't delivered. When I asked for it I was told it would take 10 to 15 mins. I put ketchup all over my fries and gravy suddenly appeared. The fish batter was just OK but the fish itself was good . A filet of haddock and not a loin which I find way too thick.
I checked out part of the display board and was shocked at $16.99 for a Western Sandwich or $14.99 for a simple BLT .
No fries with either . The fries were just ok . I half expected homemade fries from a place that advertised Home Nade food .

To not post this would be out of pure selfishness of not wanting it to become crowded. This is a nice little gem of an eatery with great flavours and homemade feel. Highly recommended.

we stopped at the vinyl store just beside the restaurant and we decided to grab lunch. wow the food was fresh and very tasty. we had the thaï chicken rap with fries. thank you to the owner and the gentleman that gave us a warm welcome and a great service . keep up the great work :) btw the portions are more then expected as we had to bring doggie bags. we had the half portion for dinner. thank you!!!

Ordered a power bowl without meat and asked to add tomato and they were happy to accommodate. A great mix of crisp potatoes, grilled veggies, a sunny side egg with hollandaise sauce that was outstanding. A huge portion.... I couldn't finish. You definitely get your monies worth....

Also stopped in again this morning April 13, 2025 for an excellent western and pancakes with blueberry sauce and whipped topping! You get what you pay for.. best breakfast anywhere in the Sydney River area !!

I love it here but there hours are hard to manage 😅 there hambergers might be the best on the island but most there days there only open for breakfast or closed earlier than expected

Food is great but I’ve been denied ordering more than I’ve been able to order due to them not allowing pick up orders during certain times. They have a great breakfast, the ultimate bowl is my go to meal but I’ve only been able to get it one in every five times I try to order, including my call a few mins ago. Whoever made this policy seriously needs to rethink it, I see others the reviews have had the same issues as I have. Very Disappointing!

We have eaten from here several times over the years, both breakfast and dinner meals. The food has always been delicious. The ultimate breakfast bowl, banana french toast, rueben sanwiches and all their potato dishes are amazing. I would go here and order from here more often, if I could. But there open hours are not regular and there are rules about when you can order take out. I'm sure these rules serve a purpose, but they are absolutely a deterrent to getting food here. I can't count the times I thought about going here and then didn't even bother trying because of past attempts. They are cash and etransfer only. The cost is also quite high, but the food is delicious.
