Hands down one of thee WORST experiences I have ever had at Montana's. We eat here all the time in Halifax and Dartmouth. The staff is always super attentive and the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming.. its the total opposite in Sydney. Our server spoke to us twice the whole hour we were there. He never did a single quality check, never asked if we wanted refills. The food was not the same quality. When purchasing the butter and herb for the steak it came already pre melted in a cup, versus the stick that melts on top of your steak. The mushroom and onions came out like mushy baby food. The kid screaming and banging relentlessly on the table the whole freaking time we were there was just the cherry on top.

Wait was an hour for a table on Valentines Day, systems went down. Their website gives an option to reserve, but they don't do reservations at this location. Food was great. The price was expensive for a chain restaurant, $95 with 15% tip for 2 meals, one meal having a 7 oz steak and ceaser salad, the other being a chicken burrito bowl, one water, one soda, and an appetizer with 4 pieces of bacon, however I had 2 gift cards so only paid $45...

Nice large restaurant with a varied menu. I went in for lunch when it was not too busy and was seated quickly. I ordered a cheese taquito roll up which I could have done without. It was cold basically just a tortilla with some cheese. I thought it would have been fried or baked and a little spicier. I only ate one triangle and had to leave the rest. The brisket burger was ok but I didn’t eat all of it either. The “brisket” that was on top of the burger was very burnt or had been sitting out for way too long because it was very hard and I couldn’t even eat it. I didn’t really like the sauce on it either. The shrimp tacos were better than the burger and app. The waitress was nice, but only came by once and I didn’t get a refill on my tea. Overall it was an ok experience but not somewhere I would go out of my way to frequent.
