Was on Cape Breton for convention and conference. Ate here twice and food was delicious both times. Staff was polite and fantastic.
Good was not great. We went to the Governor down the street the next night and everything was 10x better. I wouldn’t go back here.
The prices felt a bit high for a small town, but I guess that's pretty normal for Canada these days. What really impressed me was the service. There was only one guy working the front, running around serving about 10 tables by himself. He was fast, efficient, really polite, and friendly. That kind of hard work and good attitude is something I appreciate, especially after working in service myself.
The internet worked, a little slow but fine. The food was okay, pretty much average bar food. We had boneless wings with chili honey sauce, a regular burger with fries, and chicken pesto pasta. Nothing special, but it was fine. The local beer, Big Spruce, was really good, though.
Love the live music. Typical pub style foods, and tasted great. Great service, fast, friendly.
Service was poor. No staff there. Our waiter was also the bartender. The food however was terrible. Two of our party of six became sick after eating.
Taco was terrible...never have Taco come with undercooked rice, tasted like leftover food garter into a plate, the waiter seems not interested to take away plates, not interested to serve the table, the salmon was good and fresh, the daily soup was super salty..

Service was very slow getting our food and the restaurant was not busy..However once we got the food it was very good..
This was a fun dinner. We were in town on a business trip and walked down to the pub from our hotel. They were having some Irish dance sessions and music. Which made for a great time

The fish and chips were good, the service was good; the band was very good which added to the good atmosphere. It was a very busy evening and the servers did a good job keeping up! I would have preferred to try other menu items but they were sold out but there's always next time.... Great Atmosphere
